The neck on my classic is wonderful and guitar itself has a nice heft to it weight-wise..oh, and make sure it sounds good too!!! If it feels good, do it, if you see another one that catches your eye and feels and sounds better, you'll have your answer. DO post some pics!!! Where are you getting it and for how much? And hey' date=' what are you plugging it into?[/quote'] I'm going to Guitar Center. They're giving it to me for $500. It's not my first. I've had many electrics from Fender, Jackson, and Ibanez. This is going to be my first Les Paul. I'm also buying a Vox AD-VT 30 XL, which is a pretty sweet amp just for playing around the house with my son.
