IndianScout Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 but unlike the Epiphone LP Classic this has the larger neck, and it's uncomfortable for me to play. why couldn't this of came with the slimmer neck like the quilted classics grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr `04 Korean Ace Frehley, she's been a case queen not a mark on her.. why oh why couldn't this of came with the smaller neck, man I love this.. what to do???
JefferySmith Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 You can get used to it, I promise. I played a Silvertone with a wide neck for 4 years, and then played a Gibson with a slightly narrower neck for 3 years, and then played the Texan with a very narrow (typical Epiphone neck), and it wasn't a problem switching from one to the other after a little practice. It's like driving your wife's car...for a while your left foot looks for a clutch pedal, but in 1/4 mile, you're used to it.
charlie brown Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 If you like/love the guitar....just play it, you'll adjust! If the "neck" is an excuse to sell it...do that! Looks like a nice one, though...so, I'd play it, as much as possible, if it was me. But, to each, his/her own. CB
custer Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I agree, give it some time and you will adjust to the neck. Nice guitar!
midiman56 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 That guitar looks hot as HELL! Great score!!! I go back and forth between my skinny-*** Epi necks and a couple of Fenders with 12" redius necks all the time. I know its not exactly the same, but like the other guys have stated ... you adjust! I actually think it can help to make you that much more versatile as a player. Again, nice axe! MIDI
lostindesert Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Nice guitar bro! Btw guitars with big chunky necks sound better then the toothpick ones. Peter
AyushPresley Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I'd go with charlie..if I were you..i'd try and get used to the neck..it's a really nice guitar,.
MarxBros Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Not a fan of the looks, but at least the pups are good.
