If I had to guess I would say Samick Korea, if I remember that's where it seems most of these were made. It would usually have a S or U etc for the factory but sometimes they don't. Is the number printed on the back of the headstock?

s7ephen555
Hey, Got a Epiphone Explorer that had a premeditated and calculated destruction in a domestic… So bad, the woman’s dress was in the box of rubble that was obtained by a brave soul who crawled into it o his belly and boxed what he could grab!! I’d be on a band with her anytime - right down the centre, and at the wicked point of the neck!!! The serial: T99051558.. Yet, there’s a postscript T (o believe this means the guitar is originated in Japan, not, as some, originate in China or Indonesia and finished in Japan. TT99051558 (the second letter is postscript with a reduced space compared to the other characters…that of a postscript character?!?) If I could have some verification: thanks!!! Thorsten
Hello, i‘ve bought a new EJ300 SNA at our local dealer Musik-Produktiv back in 2005/2006. It shows GG05070355 as serial number. As per my understanding it‘s build China, in June, 2005 as the 355 guitar. Is there any further information about this GG factory, masterbuild? it sound wonderfull and sustain rings forever. oldmistergrump
Serial Number 100005 this doesn't seem to fit any standard - Epiphone Casino on eBay described as a Japanese made guitar - Blue Label? - I read as being made in Fuji-Gen (no factory code) year 2001 or 2010? but month 0? Any clue? ---------------- heres what i believe the format is Epiphone Japan Serial Numbers1998-CurrentThe Yamano Gakki Epiphone Japan serial numbers from 1998 onwards are in a YMMPPP format.Y = Year of manufactureMM = Month of manufacturePPP = Production numberThe serial number letters used by the Terada and Fuji-Gen guitar factories are: J = Terada T = Terada, F = Fuji-Gen No Letter = Fuji-Gen Example: J902123 = Terada / 1999 / February / unit 123Example: T902123 = Terada / 1999 / February / unit 123Example: F902123 = Fuji-Gen / 1999 / February / unit 123Example: 902123 = Fuji-Gen / 1999 / February / unit 123 Edited February 15, 2023 by oldmistergrump

StillKickin
Hi, it's likely a 1992. S is the factory code. Would help to know the country of manufacture and model. Go see my serial number database which covers 39 manufacturers: https://www.stillkickinmusic.com/blogs/still-kickin-blog/the-serial-bowl#epiphone This is most likely the serial scheme for your guitar: FYYMRRRR F = factory ID YY = year of manufacture M = letter code to corresponding month (A=January, B=February, etc...) RRRR = ranking number Example: R01B0123 = Peerless Korea / 2001 / February / unit 0123.
