Silenced Fred
579 dollars. If you got some spare change, that's a good price. Just thought I'd throw it out there. Plus, you can use a 15% off coupon
NeoConMan
All I ask - Tuesday, somebody who purchased anything at the GC sale fill us in. Is the guitar new? Does it look new? Is it complete, with no missing parts? Did you get a case with it? For how much? How much did you pay - compared to what you were told? (No need for a number, did you actually get your deal?) How were the people you dealt with? GOOD LUCK!!! :P B) :D

WahKeen
Sounds like a pretty good deal, but you can't use the 15% off coupon on Gibsons... It's in the fine print on the back of the coupon.

ZenKen
I never, ever, by at the chain stores or off the web. I would much rather give our local shop a few extra bucks. Hey Saturn...... bet you shop at Bill's. B)
Jantha
I was just going to post a rant about this.. I find most of their coupons useless. They exclude almost every damn brand in the store

NeoConMan
I've had decent experiences at GC.When they're not right, I don't buy. Same here. I've bought a lot of gear from them in the last twenty years. Last guitar was in 2003 though. Tried to buy several others since then that I thought were worth the asking price. They simply wouldn't let me. They gave me a price, I started fumbling with the cash in my pocket, then they started the used car sales B.S. Had to walk every time. Diego the guy
Did you follow your wandering with a sudden collapse!? i dont remember, i walked in and was like "who missed me??" then you all turned into clowns. im back awake though. anyways, i do think im going to try and buy the Les paul faded or sg since it might be on sale at my local store. At my local GC the faded sgs sell for 500$. and im ready for a new guitar. just scared cause im not sure if a sg is great for 80's metal.

Jeff-7
I've had decent enough experiences with them but I've only purchased one guitar and an amp there, mainly because they are the only place within a few hours drive that carry Gibson guitars. NeoConMan
the only place within a few hours drive that carry Gibson guitars. EM Shorts in Wichita. Anything else near there that can touch them? If you're going to GC in Wichita, stop at EM Shorts before you buy.

Next time I go after more gear I'll drive that way, I went to the GC in Overland Park since it's exactly 2 hours away.

NeoConMan
Yeah? Never been in KC proper. I have no idea what's there. Sad since I grew up in Kansas, eh?
Jeff-7
You're not missing much, horrible city layout and you pretty much just want to stay on the outskirts or you get into rough areas quickly. I usually head to Springfield or Wichita when I feel the urge, they have better restaurants and night life.
Nick Beach
I was just going to post a rant about this.. I find most of their coupons useless. They exclude almost every damn brand in the store I used to work at a GC, go in and say, I want that Gibson but I won't buy it unless I can use the coupon. They'll tell you you can't but keep working at them and typically within five minutes they give you the discount. Except Apple and Mesa Boogie, those were the only two that were strict with their no coupon policy.
NeoConMan
I used to work at a GC Used to? Why'd ya leave? Except Apple and Mesa Boogie, those were the only two that were strict with their no coupon policy. Yep. Indie dealers I spoke with were always a little nervous quoting discounted prices. Won't do it at all over the phone. Scared of losing their franchise deal. Mesa doesn't give away gear for endorsements either. The people using it paid for it. Used to be anyway, unless things have changed.
