TommyK
What about sports is unpatriotic or maybe just patriotless? It's a tradition that in America, Our National Anthem is played. It is a statement that, even though, on the field we are adversaries, off the field we are all Americans, all playing for the same 'team', for a common cause. Maybe they should sign the anthem before debates, elections etc. Jokes!
LarryUK
I don't like that some American football teams use 'Gary Glitter' songs as anthems. The say over here that he makes 120k a year in royalties. All of that for a pedo!! He's been to jail for child abuse.

I'm pretty sure that the NFL has banned his version of that tune, although I never thought of it as an "anthem". Those Hockey guys like it more, anyway. Go figure. Now go listen to some Pete Townshend, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, and Chuck Berry while you read Alice in Wonderland. (If I did smilies, I might put one here.) Big Bill
Now go listen to some Pete Townshend, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, and Chuck Berry while you read Alice in Wonderland. You forgot to mention listening to Michael Jackson while watching Peter Pan.
NeoConMan
Tell that to your political parties. I agree 100%. And the elected officials who refuse to cite the Pledge of Allegience should be stripped of their office.

Riverside
Why Townsend? Not that I'm a much of a fan, just wondering . . . He had some difficulties in the past regarding his "research"... But in the same regard, what's wrong with Peter Pan?
NeoConMan
I understand that was a misunderstanding. No charges. Clean slate. Major embarrassment, but nothing an arteest of his caliber hasn't suffered before . . . Fair to be accusing him?

Major embarrassment, but nothing an arteest of his caliber hasn't suffered before . . . Fair to be accusing him? I didn't read the transcripts, but he was required to register as a sex offender. Not my idea of a clean slate, but hey... He admitted using his credit card to access a site that offered child porn and, as I said, he had some difficulties. What exactly did I accuse him of doing? Seems to me like you missed the point in the first place, though.
