ajzwart
I've got a real solid Les Paul Studio (My first les paul, I love it, even if its not as nice/fancy as my studio deluxe), but I've been noticing recently that occasionally, maybe 1/5 times I flip my pup selector to my bridge pickup(or Rhythm on the selector), it only plays about 25% of the volume. . I flip the switch back and forth a couple times, and the problem is gone again. Any ideas why this is happening? This guitar is just my daily practice guitar. I don't use it for gigs anymore, seeing as I upgraded to a Studio Deluxe, so its not a HUGE deal, but if its a cheap, easy fix, I'd like to do it/have it done. ajzwart
Also, I'm a new member here (I've read the boards/ searched for answers here before, but I just became a member), so I'll post some pics of all my epi guitars as soon as I get the chance! crust
Things like switches eventually wear out. Get it replaced if it's acting up. A new switch is an easy fix.
Hungrycat
Things like switches eventually wear out. ESPECIALLY the stock Epiphone switch. Those things aren't really that high quality...
bigneil
Hi, welcome to the forum I agree that the selector switch is the most likely cause of your problem, the best thing to do would be to replace it. However, if you are looking for a quick fix then a little squirt of contact cleaner spray might just cure the problem. We are all very fond of pictures here . Trewblue
Welcome to the the Forum. I had the same problem with my SG. I replaced the switch with a Switchkraft and it's much more solid. Should be an easy fix! Good luck
