charlie brown
Well, liking The Runaways, or not...is one's personal preference. That's fine. I DO happen to like them, as they were really gaining their popularity, at the same time I moved out to California, to go to Photo School. I have good memories, of that time, and their music, was part of the soundtrack, to those first several years. It was energetic, good old "kick a$$" Rock & Roll, by young, attractive, teenage girls, who wrote their own stuff. I just thought the actresses did a fine job, within the limits of the material. That's all. As to "Cherry Bomb?" It's a fun song...with a good hook. And, compared to some of what was passing for Rock, back then, it was rather refreshing. Much rather listen to their stuff, than most of the "pop" droppings, these days. But...as you say, "That's Just Me!" ;>) CB
FirstMeasure
It wasn't bad, not a fan of Kristen Stewart or The Runaways so perhaps low expectations helped my outlook. I'm always impressed with Dakota Fanning, she's a natural talent. She was able to play this role without soiling her younger roles, which speaks to her ability to play characters and not just rely on being cute. brundaddy
They were a good damn band. Raw & snarly. Aside from that, I would have been a groupie.
