surfpup
It's all about efficiency. Watch his picking hand. It barely moves, and he picks very lightly. Even more amazing is that he's been that good for like 30 years!
Riffster
I have always liked Yngwie's sense of melody...while he is shredding at 100mph
WahKeen
I don't think he has the capability of playing real, real slow, lol. I dig his stuff.
Riffster
He actually does, I have seen him play (and sing) slow blues live.
Duende
The songs on his very first solo album are amazing. The writing and also the way he has layered all the sounds is exceptional - I love the tone he gets too, again especially on the debut album. It is just like liquid Matt
Andy R
It's all about efficiency. Watch his picking hand. It barely moves, and he picks very lightly. Even more amazing is that he's been that good for like 30 years! Exactly minimal motion and very fluid.... I hate him!
rocketman
All I can say is wow! I think that if you practice a lot then you can get close to what he does. The rest has to be in your genes.
WahKeen
He actually does, I have seen him play (and sing) slow blues live. Oh yeah, I was being facetious.... I meant more like a whole songHe does add a different flavor to his blues, almost like neo-classical-blues, still with crazy fast runs amidst his soulful stuff. Surely unlike any other.
