he said it right there. wise of you to appreciate that and want to share.

 

i always thought that he was a class act and also extremely knowledgable, but i have to say i didn't know that he felt quite that way.

A couple of things really stood out for me;

 

I loved the manner in which he managed to convey such obvious and fundamental points without sounding in the least bit condescending.

 

Also his stress on the music (and entertainment) being the goal rather than over-practising any particular technique to achieve that aim.

Good Advice from a Master. I try to practice scales for a quarter of my practice time, learn and master a new chord shape weekly, and jam to a backing track or a song I am working on for the rest of the time allotted. [thumbup]
