powerwagonjohn Posted April 20, 2011 Share Posted April 20, 2011 I saw Jeff Beck sunday in a small theater in Minneapolis. He was absolutely fantastic as he was 10 or 11 years ago when I saw him in Las Vegas. He of course played a Strat most of the show but did bring out a Les Paul to do a tribute song to Lester, nice touch! The warm up was a guy named Tyler Bryant who started out playing slide on what I think was a Gibson ES-150 and then pulled out my other favorite guitar.. a Guild. The kid, 20 years old, was great and even got to come out and play a song with Jeff. What a feather in one's cap!! If you get a chance, check it out!! I guess Les Pauls aren't for wimps !! I think it was around the time he had the "Who Else" CD come out. The other guitarist was this real tall dude who I found out later was a women. She rocked the place along with Beck.
