Californiaman
We've had the exterior painted. The crown molding will be up and the interior will be painted by Friday. That means the wood flooring and carpet go in next Monday right on schedule. Here's a couple photos of the before and after of the exterior. davidl
Looking good Caliman. Looks like you're on a fair sized lot. Enjoy. Dave
BigKahune
. Nice choice. Gives it some pop without being too loud. B)
Californiaman
1.44 acres. It's the biggest lot in the entire community. Plenty of room to grow. The yellow was Californiagirl's choice. Mine too I guess. It's a corner lot and we want this to be the Jewel of the Neighborhood. We've gotten a lot of compliments. One lady said, "That house has been an eye-sore for so long. I love what you've done to it." Funny what a little paint will do.

daveinspain
I can just picture it with some nice landscaping around the house where the bushes and trees are now. That might be last on the list though...
Californiaman
I can just picture it with some nice landscaping around the house where the bushes and trees are now. That might be last on the list though... We're going to put "pops" of red and orange roses (complimentary colors) in the front of the house. On the side corner (south facing) lavender and other shades of purple (contrasting colors). First though, I have to kill me some gophers!
Californiaman
Oh man you need some Scotts Turf builder STAT, help that poor lawn too! It's on sale at True Value this week. I'll be picking up a couple of bags. My current yard guy is going to be going over the sprinklers on the new place this week too. So it's coming together. Can't wait to do the yard though. I love landscaping.
Artie Owl
Haha be careful what you wish for when it comes to yard work! Honestly though, I know what you mean, I'm headed to the alter next year and hopefully into a home the year after that. I'm looking forward to the same stuff you're already living. Also it does look great, bright and cheery without being really overt to the eyes, cheers!

WahKeen
Caliman, house looks nice! The difference is way obvious. Who's your helper, Bob Villa? Enjoy it!!!
ChanMan
Really made those gorgeous front doors stand out, too! Well done, sir!!
Californiaman
Chanman, it's funny you should say that. They're Douglas Fir doors and the finish is in bad shape. We're going to paint them either Fine Wine or Burgundy. We'll restain the interior though. The burgundy color will look great with the yellow.
