mydeadblues
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/msg/2448381334.html I'm fighting the urge to just go out there and spend all of my rent money on this beautiful guitar. Like everyone else on this forum, I wish epi would reissue a riviera with 60s specs. Although this MIK riviera doesn't have the mini humbuckers, it looks stunning and it has gibson p94s . I'm hoping the guy will go for a trade plus cash because $600 is a bit steep. The sunburst color is rare and I know people go crazy for them. What do you guys think the current going price on a sunburst riviera is? They hardly ever pop up on ebay.
Parabar
The Gibson P-94's alone are about $175 the pair, I think, so $600 doesn't seem out of line for a sunburst Riviera in good condition with the pickups and a hardcase.

I believe most retailers are asking $129 per P94 pickup these days - but in the picture I only see one in the bridge position.

Yup, and the other one looks like a mini - that guitar would be worth $600 to me for sure.
mydeadblues
Ya the bridge has a p94 but the neck is a stock full size epi humbucker. I'm definitely contemplating getting it.
BillyGibson
Definitely, go play it. Hurry. Go now.
mrw1960
If you got stuff to trade, and want it, I'd say try to save some of the rent money and liquidate something else. Just my opinion.

mydeadblues
The guy said he won't consider any trades I really want to go play it but it's about 2.5 hours from where I'm at. I wish I had enough to fund this baby!
BillyGibson
See if he'll meet you half way. Then it's only an hour "ish". Decide what you want to offer and offer it. If it's reasonable, he might take it, since he's got time committed in the drive too. We're roooting for you. Go mydeadblues. Go mydeadblues. Seriously. GO!
