Bender 4 Life
Heaven and Hell was released during my last year of High School, and was an instant smash hit with the "dark minded" crowd I was the very unofficial leader of in my school. '67 1/2 Torino GT 390, mustang 100w "booster" amp feeding through Tenna corp. MindBlower 100w pre-amped speakers......best girl riding shotgun...it's a miracle I have any hearing left. Dios' amazing voice, and the Sabbath crew "stepping up the game" to "rebirth" the band, made us almost forget Ozzy even existed for a year. The last song on the casette was my favorite ..."Lonely".....Children of the Sea was another great. I still have an origional Heaven & Hell t-shirt in my dresser, along w/the origional solo album t-shirts from all 4 members of KISS and an origional "wish you were here" Tee....shame they're all worn out & full of holes. saturn
We had that thread about "phrasing" a few weeks ago. The studio version of this song is another great example of some of Tony Iommi's best phrasing IMO.
