Help recognising chord progression please

I just discovered Chatham County Line & love their music. I'm trying to get the chords down for one of their songs - "The Carolinian" - & have most of it sorted.

The verse is easy & 1st chorus also but for the 2nd & 3rd chorus there's a decending trio of chords following the straight D chord that finished the 1st chorus that have got me stumped.

Any of you good at recognising chord shapes/progressions from youtube? Here's the link, the progression I'm stuck on is between 2.02 & 2.06 roughly.

Thanks for your help!

Chord shapes (with capo on 2)

verse

D G D

D G A

G D A

D Bm G A D

chorus

D A

G A D

D A

G A D then 2nd time around it goes into that progression

the 3-chord run looks like this:

D

D with C# on the 5th string/4th fret (I don't know the chord name)

Bm

After the D with C#, it might be an F#m then a quick change to Em, then touching A (6th string/2nd fet) before landing again on the G?...

Fred, thx for your help. If I understand you correctly, you've written the chords in the key you think its written in? CCL's guitarist is playing it with capo on 2 starting with a "D" shape - so why do you have minor chords rather than major ones? Sorry to ask but I'm something of an amateur at this.

Three versions here from a app that I have. Can transpose if you like. I didn't watch the vid, just converted to MP3 and fed it to the app.

Take a look at the capo conversion chart here: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=15164

Problem is that the song isn't in any minor key, so capoing/converting isn't gonna help...

Still looks like his chord hand makes it to an F#m in the middle of that change--but it's too quick for my eye/ear to catch. For now anyway-- I might "get it" when I"m not looking/thinking about it!
