nickjwill
I just picked this up what i think is a '31 L-1 (guy I bought it from wasn't sure). Strings are off and planning on sending it out for a full restoration. Bridge looks like it came off something, but what? Individual saddles look somewhat adjustable and vaguely Melita like. E-minor7
Looks good – there's an atmosphere to it. And a massive top contact. Do you intend to keep it ? . . . I mean on this guitar after refurbishment.
blindboygrunt
looks like the thing my granny had for slicing eggs

I mean on this guitar after refurbishment. No, its coming off. Probably weighs 3-4 oz's. It is cool looking but out there somewhere may be a coo-coo clock that needs a new bridge. I plan on getting the L-1 restored to as close to original looking/playing as possible.
TommyK
I'm betting Grandma's curio cabinet. It appears it was, initially, designed by someone not familiar with, nor intending it to go on, a guitar. It could have been made from a length of crown molding or chair rail who, did not understand the basics of guitar construction. It is a nice bit of art work, though. Okay - stick it on the side of a wall-closet in the work-room and you'll have a holder for strings on stand-by, , , , or thin brushes and rare feathers. Any better suggestions ? Maybe turn this closet into a coo-coo. . . . .

Mojorule
You mean, "A Bridge too Far"?....... How about "A Bridge Too Large"? Or even over troubled waters? What's it covering? Unless it's a Billy Ray Cyrus signature model... It's certainly an achy-breaky guitar.
