Music City Mike
Howdy All, Just wanted to stop in and present the newest addition to my "family"... Actually, I purchased this guitar a couple of weeks ago, and have been enjoying it IMMENSELY! Unfortunately, my other guitars are not getting played much lately and might have to sit on the bench for a while. A little background: I am mostly an acoustic player (I own a Taylor and Martin), but needed something with a little more "punch" for a group I am playing with about once a week. I also own a Strat, but I'm more of a rhythm player, so I felt like I needed something that would be better-suited for the type of music we are playing. Plus, I've never owned a hollow/semi-hollow before, so it opens up new worlds for me. As far as an amp, I purchased a Fender Mustang III at the same, and have been really enjoying it as well. It was affordable and has many features I was looking for (decent power, modeling, USB connection - forgot to mention that I like to engage in home recording, etc). So without further adieu, here's the new guitar - F A B U L O U S!

mgrasso
Great looking Casino. If you only get one hollow body, the Casino is the one to have.
Bluemans335
Great choice, and beautiful instrument. My advice is to dump the Strat and get a Epi 335 Dot.
tweed2
Mike, welcome. You've certainly picked up a great guitar there. Love the color, the correct one for a Casino (IMHO) . There have been many discussions about Casinos in the past. When you have some time, do a search (upper RH corner) and see what's been talked about. In the mean time, here's your forum warming present. +

crust
Super nice. Let me ask you about the amp. Did you get the "version 2" Mustang or the "original" (fizzy) one? Nice guitar. I'm looking at obtaining a Mustang IV soon.

Nice guitar. I'm looking at obtaining a Mustang IV soon. Crust - Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't checked out this thread in a while! I don't have the original Mustang version, not the V2 version. I read threads related to the 'fizz' problem, and I don't seem to have the issue. Some folks seem to have it, and others don't. I tried to dial it up and just couldn't find the issue on my amp. Now, once I connected it up to Fender's FUSE program, the first thing I did was download and install the latest firmware, so maybe that helped. But, I'm certainly keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't appear in the future...all-in-all, I'm quite pleased with the amp. For the money, I think it was a great purchase...
