  1. The Just Got In From the Veterinarian thread....

    03 July 2017 - 02:30 AM

Ichabod took a bad turn on Saturday the first. Won't move, won't eat, won't drink, throws up a lot. He does this once in a while when he furballs up inside, or worse, eats some bit of plastic he found. It's been a long 12 years keeping plastic out of his mouth, bags and stuff, he'll chew on them and it goes in and once in a while it gets stuck. We know the drill.

But the drill wasn't happening, and on Sunday morning he was still bad. Noon on Sunday we went to the local "emergency" 24 hour hospital, the only one around here. 5 hours later they basically told us they couldn't do anything without certain diagnostics, that they don't have. Take him up to the city, go to Penn.

We were going to go there in the first place. Stupid us.

Got up to Philly and got him in around 8pm on Sunday. After much waiting around, he needs surgery. Got home at 3.30am on Monday.

He's gettin operated on now. Send karma.

  2. Tomorrow I'll use these...

    23 June 2017 - 09:11 PM

1pm to 5pm, big covered stage by the lake, pro sound, 90 degrees, 80% humidity, it will be a fine day to play the guitar and sing.

2005 Hello Kitty, bone stock but the straplocks. It's a hoot to play, the kiddies go by on the train all day, they love it.

'01 Les Paul Classic. Grovers, Dunlop straplocks, 57 Classics. It's been a lot of places with me, I love this guitar a lot.

  3. New Pedal Day!

    10 June 2017 - 07:38 PM

Well,a week ago actually, but I hadn't had enough time with it. Spend a couple hours this week at home with it and used it for a few hours of Klassik Rokk tomfoolery last night.
Carl Martin Quattro. Compressor, two overdrives, chorus, and echo(delay). Pretty much what you need and nothing you don't. Quiet, smooth switches, solid and substantial. Great compressed cleans which I need, overdrives very usable and with some more twiddling I'll get it better. I had a good night with it last night, but I still need to fool with it some more, but I'll be using it regularly. It's a keeper!

  4. Tomorrow night I'll use this...

    08 June 2017 - 06:30 PM

Playing a new joint tomorrow night, they called on Monday with a cancel, being the Who res we are, we said Yes.

2015 EJRW, Tropical Turquoise. I've changed everything on it, pickguard, Hot Noiseless, pots, knobs, switch, and straplocks. Bone stock beside that! I can't believe I get to use this thing.

I think I'll take the Esquire too. 2013, Mexican, changed the pickguard, Duncan Stack, dunlop straplocks. I love this thing.Posted ImagePosted Image

  5. Tomorrow night I'll use this...

    26 May 2017 - 05:12 PM

'97 California Fat Telecaster, Vintage White. It's had in it, in no particular order: Joe Bardens, Lindy Fralins, Seymour Duncan Stacks, Customme Shoppe Texas Specials, and some other pair of Fenders I can't remember. Currently another pair of Seymour Duncan stacks, my favorite Tele pickups I think. Grovers, Dunlop Straplocks, Pearl Knobs, ElekktroSokket jack thingy. 4th or 5th volume pot, 4th or 5th switch, could stand a re-fret, two big cracks up in the headstock, some gashes on the back of the neck that have been filled in by Luther, and cymbal bites all over the pointy end. It's had a pretty good life, rode hard and put up wet. It is my #1, when I think of the word "guitar" this is it. It will go in the box with me at the end.

Hey, rct! Just wanted to say,"Hello!" and hope all is well with you in N.J. I like reading your posts; they provide a nice bit of much needed levity and brevity; unlike my own... Peace!
