  1. Nope I read that on Gibson website when they were selling the one I had, and not the ones that are 7k that they are making now. It stated Poition 1 was bypassed. Mine was a 2009.
  2. Long Duk Dong was a character in a movie with Molly Ringwald called 16 Candles.
  3. Yes Naphta is safe on Nitro finished guitars. I've used it on my Martin's.
  4. Yeah but with a Carlton Case you can do all these thing to your new axe and it will be safe as bug in a rug. Most people I know have blow torches, don't you?
  5. I know its really an Ice Cone. At least in Hawaii there is no false advertising as it called - Shaved Ice.
  6. Here is what is in a snow globe: no snow and maybe very little of that 2 billion year old snow that has now melted that used covered the Earth. The liquid has evolved from initially light oil to a mixture of water, antifreeze (ethylene glycol), and glycerol. An added benefit was that glycerol slowed the descent of the snow. So its a Snow Anitfreeze Glycerol Globe.
  7. Snow or ice? If we're gonna split hairs, lets split them correctly.
  8. After his stint in the Army, not much of Elvis's music was really rock and roll. He made some great music when he wasn't making ridiculous movies. And the Vegas years had some great stuff too, and he always had a killer band up there behind him.
  9. Who doesn't love Fresh Garbage, and isn't the that album that has the song that supposedly Zep 'borrowed' a bit of it for Stairway and went to court over?
  10. The BB was stereo and mono (I used it in stereo a few times), no F holes to control feedback (nope I could make it do that), and there were 490's in it. On my BB position 1 was the V-tone was not in the circuit (that came factory wired like that), positions 2 - 6 was the V-tone making the guitar more nasally.
  11. I see the 2 A I C guitarist ones, and a RW one, but 2 say Out Of Stock, and all have cutaways.
  12. I can. I like The White Album more than everything else they did, then Pepper, then Abbey Road then maybe Revolver then Rubber Soul, then Let It Be, then pretty much the first five are are all great, but the first five I mentioned are the cream of the crop as far as I am concerned. MMT has some good moments but was just a mess in some spots. Good way to rate an album. I'll have to try that.
  13. Although there is no snow in snow globes. Is a giant lie.
  14. My BB King had a Vartione. To me it was useless.
  15. I think Gibson used or uses Titebond wood glue. Not sure if that is what they use to glue a piece of plastic to wood.
  16. Oh is a 355. I saw it as 335. 355's are killer to. I thought 355's had Varitones on them?
  17. I used Google translate so I hope what I wrote translated correctly.
  18. Even pre-covid a real '59 335 was way more than what they are asking by many thousands of dollars.
  19. I've seen Jason Isbell several times and there is a song where the keyboardist plays the Squeeze Box on a song called Codeine. Looks like Jason is playing his sig model D-18. I wanted one till I saw the price, so it was a standard D-18 for me. HIs last album was awful. I listened to Miles Davis - In A Silent Way the other night.
  20. For me its The White Album. Revolver is great but not my fav.
  21. It was a single but Rain at actual speed seems like the lad were all pepped up. Rain (Take 5) Actual Speed is lightning fast.
