  1. I thought The Ramones did that in the mid-70's? 1 2 3 4
  2. Other than the D-18. I care less than nothing about what junk Cobain liked and played. And the D-18 got butchered with electronics.
  3. The lawyers, doctors and rich collectors are Gibsons Generation. Not kids who got gifted guitars they can't afford.
  4. Fender must have done it first with their Stratocrapper.
  5. The Gibson G Line Of Guitars - 2 holes - no waiting.
  6. I just looked at the Reverb pics and it is where you can see the glued on end pieces Gibson does on each side of the headstock.
  7. Gibson didn't use ebony for 5 years because they were not allowed to, and/or what they agreed on to keep the King safe from harms way (aka those pesky government entities that are always regulating stuff, and interfered with the poor guitar makers wood supply chain).
  8. This is unfair due to a mono holed guitar up against a stereo holed guitar.
  9. I can only take credit for some of that statement. Someone free styled a bit at the end.
  10. I though it was wood, plastic, metal, glue, and bone, but what do I know, I've only owned a few.
  11. Gibson is not going to get "cancelled" due to some LBGTQ Generation Z Quiet Quitter's TickTic video out there. If King H didn't derail them with his antics . . . nothing will. They just oust the old boss and put in the new boss and move on. The ones that can afford, and want a Gibson will buy them, and the ones that can't will just snivel about it and go buy an Epi, or Fender, or something else they can afford.
  12. Leave it to Gibson to make an affordable guitar that people liked, and probably sold well, and then . . . ah . . . lets just make those limited edition $7000 models. Then we only need to make 100, or so and move on. Gibson should just call everything a J-45. The J-45 J-15, the J-45 J-200, the J-45 Hummingbird. That way everyone will have what they want a J-45.
  13. He's a legend and a great player. Sometimes sloppy, but he's on some of the best albums ever recorded.
  14. I remember am interview I saw with JP, and he said he heard songs on the radio, and knew it was him playing on it, but didn't remember the session.
  15. I’m way to stoned to read this right now. You guys have the most complicated system possible.
  16. I thought he was a dentist. So one Shilling is like our Nickle? 1/20th of our dollar.
  17. Those guys were the UK's version of The Wrecking Crew.
  18. I didn’t like that album. Des Moines is good.
  19. It is like the rest, there is stuff in the mix brought up that was not heard. Is it better IMHO of the original? Its cleaner and punchier and if you get the 2 CD edition, Giles remixed the single Paperback Writer/Rain as well on the out take disc. This is the first Beatles album that I liked a George song in Taxman. Most if not all of his stuff before did not impress me, and some of the stuff he did after too were nor that great. And of course Ringo sings again on Y S. How about went let the drummer do what he does best - DRUM. Doctor Robert I never liked. Just as if Penny Lane and S F F were put on Pepper, if P R/Rain were on Revolver, it would have been much better.
  20. I went a few years back and was under-impresssed. Yeah its another costume worn on stage by______________________. The funny think was the hotel room key collection of I think Timothy B. Schmidt of Poco and Eagles.
  21. Blue, Court And Spark, and Hejira are albums everyone should own. You rock guys are just not doing it for me, I'm gonna go play with a bunch of jazz guys like Jaco, Wayne, Herbie, Stanley, and Pat.
  22. Many deserve induction before any one of those (C)Rap bands ever got inducted. If (C)Rapppers want their own hall of shame, go make your own and put in who you want. The Rock Hall is its own biggest joke.
  23. The current CEO might be able to pull that off, he is the guy, in front of the the guy, who is behind the guy, who calls the shots. If it had pink sparkles with a light purplish-blue hue that changed colors as the guitar moves around, and had unicorns and rainbows as fret markers, I would be all in. How about this from a non Gibson guy, Just make well made guitars that people can afford, and stand behind your products when they are not up to snuff. Stop with fake aging and charging 10k for a limited edition cash grab guitars. Look at her posing like Jimmy Page circa 1977. It appears she might even know a G chord, no she is just trying to flip her old manager the bird. She doesn't even have to pay extra for that company to put her name on the guitar too.
  24. She probably know the Dolly Chords. I am sure she can strum on one them there country guit-fiddles.
