  1. 4 dudes who can't read or write down music did all that great music, with the help of Yoko of course and a little bit George Martin.
  2. The Beatles sometimes used tons of chords in songs.
  3. I lived there and they basically love American stuff and can afford it.
  4. I just looked at their website and there are 6 people in the band. I know for certain who the drummer, singer, bassist and one guitarist is, so that leaves two left. So my guess is yes they are Lynyrd Skynyrd with 3 axeman.
  5. Lets change that statement to they will sell all of them to . . . yes the rich collectors.
  6. I have said it before, when they were together, they lead and everyone else followed.
  7. 6.9k? Laughable. Gibson nuts will swallow any bitter pill given to them. I know if you can’t afford a 7k guitar too bad for you and go buy an Epi instead.
  8. Alex Lifeson played one on the first time I saw Rush on the Moving Pictures Tour.
  9. Better get it fast its in someones cart. Hope you want to spend 4k for it? https://reverb.com/item/60993877-gibson-howard-roberts-fusion-in-ebony-1988
  10. This came out on Friday. I will probably wait for Xmas to get it and see if it comes down in price. I am listening to it on Amazon to some of the out takes. I'm not sure why Giles include out takes that already came out on the Anthology series, that are versions we have already heard? He has to know his dad included those same out takes on Anthology. Rubber Soul was the album that started people listening to the album as a whole entity. Once people heard Tomorrow Never Know at the the end of Revolver they must have had their minds blown, and what would the lads do next? Well they would make Sgt. Pepper. But first they would make the double sided single of Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. I know some people don't care for the lads, but once they walked away from touring and used the studio as an instrument, that is when it got interesting. I really don't think in 50 years people will be discussing Oasis, but I think in another 50 years the Fab 4 will still be talked about, and the Rolling Stones will still be touring. https://www.amazon.com/Revolver-Special-5-CD-Beatles/dp/B0BB3F4J1J/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2A2BCZ43HL23H&keywords=the+beatles+revolver+deluxe+edition+2+cd&qid=1667066865&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIwLjE3IiwicXNhIjoiMC4wMCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%3D%3D&s=music&sprefix=the+beatles+r%2Cpopular%2C103&sr=1-2&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0
  11. Coltrane is never a bad choice for Jazz.
  12. It's too good to be true. Like that sexy chick that is hitting on you at the bar, but she has a huge Adams Apple and a gruff voice.
  13. 3 chords = Rock 4 chords = Jazz
  14. My friends father had a Packard. It was as big as a house. I think it was from the 50's.
  15. Then he went on to be in the original incarnation of the San Francisco band Journey. He was on the first album through Infinity (the first four albums). Next was a good album if you have never heard it. They guy from Santana's band Gregg Rollie takes all the vocals as Steve Perry is not yet the singer in the band and joined on Infinity. I think Steve didn't like him and I think they gave him they python boot to the backside. Ansley is on Chunga's Revenge, Fillmore East 1971, 200 Motels, Just Another Band From LA, Waka/Jawaka, and The Grand Wazoo.
  16. If crap was it then yes you addressed his singing.
  17. What about all all the Hair Metal crooner’s?
  18. He was one of my uncles favorites. Complete original. RIP Killer
  19. There is no doubt he is a talented cat, but like Zappa, he had no one to tell him NO, especially once Purple Rain went huge. And like Zappa, sometimes someone needed to tell him NO. The music is well played, but there is tons of music out there like that. I liked Sign O The TImes by him and Dirty Mind. The rest doesn't do much for me. Little Red Corvette is one best songs where you have to use sexual entendres for car themed stuff. He loved to thread the line of super religious nut and nymphomaniac.
  20. Didn't he go off the deep end and voices told him to kill his mother, and then he did it?
