  1. Its your money. If you gotta have it and have the cash then do the deed.
  2. Damn 3.5k, but it does have a Strat burst finish. https://mofi.com/products/mofi-electronics-fender-x-mofi-precisiondeck-limited-edition-turntable
  3. $295,000, https://www.guitarworld.com/news/-elvis-presley-fender-rosewood-tele-for-sale-on-reverb I love the picture of Elvis not holding or playing it. Nice touch.
  4. Instead of beer can chicken, I’m doing a beer can turkey. Using a Fosters Blue Oil Can instead of a 12 oz-er. The turkey has been in a brine since yesterday afternoon.
  5. Seriously who is buying that to play?
  6. Is the guitar in a house with the AC running. If so the house is not 99%.
  7. Why would you to dry your guitar out? The D’addario packs do what your guitar needs which is mostly moisture. The sponge ones do the same thing but you have to re-wet the sponge every week or so.
  8. I think those sponges and humidity packs put moisture back into to wood not take it out. Rice is going to absorb water, which is what you don’t want.
  9. Put it in your Zippo and you can light your cigarette, and it is safe to clean a nitro finished guitar. Yep - Napftha. That has got to be spelled wrong.
  10. It’s a guitar case. If your guitar fits in it, done, problem solved. What are you looking for, build specs? It is for storage and transport.
  11. You can buy a fret rocker. They are a metal 4 sided device used to find the high fret, but your neck needs to be dead level to use it. https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tools-and-supplies/types-of-tools/straightedges/fret-rocker/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqIX_wJu9-wIVaU1yCh2gcAqVEAAYASAAEgJb-PD_BwE
  12. It is really damn good. I wonder what his cut is for 25 inlays for Martin? That guys base guitars start at $12,000.
  13. I looked at some of his stuff and he did two I recognized from the Martin site. One with a dragon and one with a sword. Both over priced.
  14. Looks like he is an inlay super mega ultra dude and and a maker of guitars too. This is the first time I heard of him. http://www.harveyleachinlays.com/
  15. I think C Martin IV is losing it. https://www.martinguitar.com/guitars/D-45-Harvey-Leach-Lotus-Flower.html?cgid=guitars $29,000. 25 will be made. It says he is a master inlay artist.
  16. Have you ever taken your guitar in for a set up? Is your neck back bowed a bit and/or does it have relief in it, does your truss rod just need a tweek, do you have a high fret or two, is the action too low? All this stuff is adjustable or can be addressed on your guitar. If you are unsure about doing it take it to a good luthier.
  17. The crooked tuners let you know its not a fake Ch-iiiiiiiiii-bson. Only Gibson can put tuners on as straight as a drunk monkey. If it was an Epi they would be dead on.
  18. I would dig one of those black and white ebony boards on any of my Martins. That looks so damn cool.
  19. My 16lb dog gets very upset when the mail carrier delivers the mail. I think she hears the distinct engine sound of a US Mail truck. The mail trucks here in Little River, South Cackalacky, the driver gets to put a license plate of their choice on the the front. I am assuming they got to choose. So far I have seen a Grateful Dead one (a Steal Your Face), a USCG one, and a USN one as well. So if I ever see - out for delivery, I know right when it gets dropped off, or put in the mail box.
  20. Of course he is, but not when he was alive.
