  1. Nobody cool or a great guitarist lives a few miles from me that I know of. Wait Vanna White is from North Myrtle Beach.
  2. Gibson has 7k Murph aged guitars to peddle, you think they can be bothered selling a $30 pot and boost circuit. Gibson’s customer service or lack of it is legendary.
  3. Never liked Stevie and I think I like about 3 of her FM songs and none of her solo work. Edge Of 17, L & L, and the one Tom Petty wrote are her only solo songs I can name. I really can’t stand FM in any iteration. They just bore me, and that includes the Peter Green days, and the Bob Welsh days. I like LB and some of his FM stuff, but I would rather hear LB on his own. He is an amazing finger picker.
  4. What about Stevie, some one has to hold the tambourine, and wear weird clothes on stage. She is lucky Lindsey gave Mick an ultimatum that its both of us or neither of us. She might have eventually had a music career, but on her second album with FM (after being a nobody in CA with Lindsey) she was now a massive star and most dudes wanted to sleep with her.
  5. No Quarter by Zep was killer with Plants voice going through one.
  6. Its a blanket for your guitar in case it gets cold. The Explorer case and my BB King case both had them.
  7. I never want to listen to that again.
  8. Shhhhhhhhhh . . . that was his secret weapon.
  9. Lots of good band from decades ago are still around making horrible music cause its all they know. We never need another Rolling Stones album or AC/DC album or Yes album to ever come out again, but it might happen. We certainly don't need the Stones to tour ever again, Yes as well. No original members in Yes and they are still calling it Yes. Not Steve Howe And Some Other Dudes Playing Yes's Music.
  10. I would love to have a real Leslie Cab with the rotating speaker. So many cool songs have them used in them.
  11. Like I said its not my guitar so put in in the case and let us know how it worked out. Here is one thing you can do. Take a rag and spray some Fabreeze on it. Put a small amount (maybe the size of a pea) on the guitar in question on an area that wont be seen, like the back and see what happens. Then post some pics for us to see the good or bad.
  12. I had an Explorer for a while. Those cases can house a family of 3.
  13. He should have taken what was going to be his original path in life. I think he was pretty good at Tennis. Wasn't that in the Documentary where they all cried, acted like a bunch of 5 year olds, and hired a Head Shrinker to analyze them? Then we would be saved from this garb.
  14. Same here. I think I would rather listen to Revolution #9 on repeat than that again.
  15. The keyboard player and singer of Fleetwood Mac passed away, she was 79. It says she dies peacefully at the hospital. Since none of us have died, and came back from the dead, I think that is a pretty ridiculous statement since none of us know what feels like to die, yet. I'm gonna rock Songbird as it is one of my favorite FM songs other that the ones Lindsey did. RIP
  16. Remember when it was Dave TV on his video's. When he whapped his face with a pole playing with VH on Jimmy Kimmel Live was hilarious. Stupid People Suffer.
  17. With songs like Love Walks In, When It's Love I was puzzled. This is VH, the good time party band? Poundcake was a good tune.
  18. Dave was a ego clown, and was probably not as good a singer as Sammy, but I would rather listen to a lot (not all) the stuff in the Roth era, and I would rather listen to almost none of the Hagar era. Then we got one album with the guy from Extreme on vox. I've never heard any of that one. The only time I saw VH was the last night of the 5150 Tour at the legendary Cow Palace in Daly City, CA, not SF. Its right next door the SF though. I did not think one man could wear as many bandanas as Sammy did that night. We even got to hear I Can't Drive 55. They should have played a good Montrose tune instead.
  19. If your guitar does have a reaction it may change the color or your finish or leave what looks like a burned spot where it reacted. Here is a guitar that was wrapped in bubble wrap. That is gonna be fun to look at when you take the guitar out to play. Even with polish or a cleaner that is probably there for the rest of the guitars life.
  20. He gets slack for being the hammer on guy. He is so much more that. He is not doing hammer ons during the entire song, he plays chords and stuff to it you ever listened to it. Those false harmonics (or what ever its called when he taps a fret up high with this picking hand, and has a note or chord fretted way up on the other side of the neck) he does on the fly are amazing.
  21. I'm old school to and liked 'Tallica when they made good music. Now its like any new Tool album, its the same album over and over. A few more hey's and a few more yeah's. How am I supposed to pronounce the second word in the title. How do you pronounce a A smashed together with an E?
  22. II opened up with a cover, but it was done VH style with You're No Good. For me the second one is ahead of the first just by a nose. I remember at my cousins house when I heard Eruption for the first time. My jaw dropped. Until the Randy Rhodes documentary I never new him and Eddie were in some kind of guitar hero battle.
