  1. There it is in the Zappa Store. I thought it would tell you on the info page. And look at all the useless stuff the ZFT has for you to waste your money on. https://store.zappa.com/collections/waka-jawaka-the-grand-wazoo
  2. I got my original vinyl of both. At least it looks like they are getting back to doing albums again instead of just live shows. Steve Ford said he saw it was coming out on vinyl and CD. I don't see it mentioned anywhere its coming out on vinyl. Waka/Jawaka and The Grand Wazoo are going to have a 5.1 SS mix on the DVD.
  3. Nobody pays me too play. I'm sure they would pay me to stop playing. Does that have a name?
  4. There are lots of professional musicians out there. A band playing a bar getting paid to play there, or U2 playing Madison Square Garden. Doesn't mean I like or want to see them live, or hear their music.
  5. I guess we all need a master class on the real deal of fake aging 101. I hope it has a lab so we can beat up some guitars for real.
  6. Yes the radius is different. I only played one Firebird electric and I think the neck was in a completely different room than me and the body of the guitar.
  7. Can you get an authentic Tom Murph headstock break and re-glue? That might push it to 15k?
  8. https://www.zappa.com/news/frank-zappas-famed-electric-orchestra-celebrated-wakawazoo-box-set-available-december-16th Never cared for Waka/Jawaka or The Grand Wazoo albums. I know some Zappa fans like them. I would probably listen to the out takes once and never again. I'm listening to the live concert that just came out form Yugoslavia. The sound is not that great. It's from 2 different shows and the best version was taken. It's all the songs he played at both shows he did there. I doubt I will get this either.
  9. It is still hard to wrap my head around I bought a new guitar, and wanted to look old, and beat up. So, I did that, and I paid a lot of money for this legendary guy who fake ages guitars named Tom Murphy to do it to my NEW Gibson LP. Now my NEW, but old looking guitar has chips, and dings, and paint chipping off, and I thought that was what I wanted, and that is supposed to be the point of those 6 - 10k aged guitars. Now it must be too beat up to be cool.
  10. Not sure if they are the major retail outlet, as Sam Ash, and all the other brick and mortar and online stores all sell Gibson stuff. The last time I went into a G C there were a ton of Epi's, a few (2 maybe) real LP's, and one J-45 in the acoustic room.
  11. I wonder if they were using tubes made for harp blowers and not for rocking guitars?
  12. So those 6-10k a pop Tom Murph aged wonders are not keeping them a float. What about the limited edition models they come up with 3 or 4 times a year, and sell out of, and make almost 2 million the day they are released cause they are all sold?
  13. Oh you wants kids and cars do you?
  14. That is cause Madonna's music is terrible. There is nothing wrong with you for not liking horrible music. All she makes is music to dance to. The Beasties are clowns, and I never understood why people like them. Yeah you make a party anthem with "You Gotta Fight For Your Right". Never heard anything form them that was remotely any good. I saw Joe B open for B B King. He was really good, but there are so many guys that do what he does out there, he just gained the fame and $ to buy all the guitars we want. He's no slouch, but I don't listen to him that much if at all.
  15. I never understood people having an issue going from a Fender to a Gibson to a Martin, all with different scales. Gibson's J-45 is 24.75". A Martin 000-18 is 24.9". That is only .15" more. That is what about the width of a small headphone jack? You can really feel that small difference? Going from a Gibson to a Fender is only a .75" difference. The string tension is a bit more and scale is 3/4 of an inch more, but that is still not that much. Plus there is more room in-between the frets to smash you cigar fingers to the fret board.
  16. I've seen those chords in rock songs, so they must be the wrong ones. You should have learned where your finger goes at around 16 or so.
  17. I think '66 was the holy grail year for tubes, just like that classic '59 LP everyone wants to to find in a dusty closet, but its just a 1870's Martin instead.
  18. All Ampeg tubes are original in all models, its why Paul Gilbert plays a Ampeg SVT. Yeah the tubes from a 1966 amp are the originals. My guess is nope.
  19. So, I have one of my guitars for sale on Reverb for local pick up only, and a guy contacted me and said he was interested in buying it and for a friend of his in Australia. Great but I really don’t care who your buying it for. Then he wanted more pics and details about the guitar, and he even sent me an address in Washington state that I can mail it to if he buys it. I guess this guy doesn’t understand what local pick up is. Buy it if you want and if you live in Washington State, that’s a long drive to SC.
  20. Most Gibsons are gonna be 24.75 in scale. Dread Martins are 25.4 in scale. Martins 00 and 000’s are 24.9 in scale.
  21. Is it really a Gibson? I see the word Epiphone on it in an a big E on the TRC.
  22. You better put a few flatted 5th in there and make some of those jazz chords.
