  1. I know. Have all the stuff he did with that group he was with for a few years. They had a hit or two. Then I got the album where he is standing on a spaceship and the one with him drawn on the cover standing next to a little angel. He was drumming so hard he got blisters on his fingers.
  2. I said nothing negative about Mr Lewis. I said I didn't like what Former Pres. Obama did at his eulogy. I and many people think it was in bad taste to turn an mans eulogy into a political rally. You obviously see otherwise. I can fight my own battles and don't need members of the forum to bail me out. How about at your wake we have a used car salesmen come up and try to sell a car? Talk about the mans life and accomplishments and not a political agenda. Its a totally inappropriate time to do so. Can't we leave politics out for just an hour especially at such an event. Its a funeral/wake/eulogy, how do you not see that? Just cause you want to disagree with everything I say. Ringo is still a great drummer. I'm not sure if you were aware?
  3. I always though the beginning was Jimi making guitar noises. I just listened to it a few time with head phones. It is audible.
  4. I can make out some of it. Presence for me was it. I knew we were in trouble after that one. I know All My Love was him pouring his heart out to his son who passed away, but to me it reminds me of couples skate at a roller rink. I listen to it about once every 5 years and remember why I didn't listen to it for 5 years.
  5. Plant is a mumbler. Fool In The Rain is the only good song on that album.
  6. Yeah they re-wrote The Lords Prayer for that. Best Floyd album they ever made. I love the line about Lamb Cutlets.
  7. If you listen to Yellow Submarine, Ringo messes up once and says Slub-marine. My friend did not believe me. We took some illegal things The Beatles would have taken during the making of Sgt. Pepper, and I made him listen to it over and over until and he finally heard it. Once you do its there in your mind forever. They did a lot of stuff for their own kicks.
  8. Some of you may know this, I didn't. I have been listening to Pink Floyd - The Wall since it came out. I remember buying it, and The Eagles - The Long Run at Tower Records before Xmas in '79. I just learned that if you play the last few seconds of Outside The Wall, loud or listen really close you hear "Isn't This Where" and if you do the same thing with In The Flesh? in the first few seconds you hear "We Came In". And its the same music looping together.
  9. I get all I want as long as its with lefty or righty.
  10. Sad you can't see stupidity right in front of you. It's a man's eulogy not a political rally. It's uncalled for. Here are the many great deeds of Mr. Lewis. And don't forget to vote for Joe.
  11. The team that wears blue sweaters probably ate it up. Honor the man and what he's done. Totally uncalled for. Thanks Nobama.
  12. The package says they are I think 38% louder, but louder than what? I love marketing ploys. They can't be 38% louder than a Motorheard concert.
  13. I just ordered a few sets of Cleartones. Looking forward to trying them out. I tried Elixirs once and it felt like lube what on the wound strings. I usually only put coated strings on my 12'er so I don't have to change strings as much. I have an electric Black and Decker cordless screwdriver that has an winder attachment I got from Stew Mac. It doesn't spin to fast or to slow.
  14. Congrats. The Mom and Pop store I go to sells Taylor's and I play all the high end stuff when I go in. They are beautiful instruments.
  15. Love Port. Went to a few used record stores. Picked up 2 by Zappa, 2 by Richard Thompson, and 2 when Richard was married to Linda.
  16. I'm tired of the heat. I wake up and its in the high 70's, and my noon its in the mid 90's.
  17. I'm on my 6th and hopefully final job after military retirement. I worked as a Navy contractor 3 times, working on ships and boats. The big boys I worked on are the Abe Lincoln, John C. Stennis and Harry S. Truman. I last saw time I saw the JFK was when I was down in Florida (still in the Coast Guard) it was starting to get de-comm'ed at the Navy base in Mayport. The USS Midway was the big boy in the Battle Group I was attached to in Japan. We were Commdestron 15. Strange the useless c-rap I remember. Never got to stand in front of The Old Man unless I was getting inspected or promoted. You are an over-achiever. The Navy has way to many idiots. The Coast Guard is smaller and has less, and smaller ships. We call them Cutters.
  18. Been to Spain. 08 was when I went. Went to the Alhambra. I think that was in Granada.
  19. I live about 3 hours from the Pentagon. I have driven past it many times going into DC. It looks bigger in the movies. Great Lakes is without a doubt the most miserable place on earth. At least the Navy doesn't have to change any of their bases names like the Army (wonder what the past generation of soldiers think of that). My friend who was a paratrooper and in during the 70's thinks its ridiculous. He says if they do change the name he will always call it Ft. Benning and Ft. Bragg. I'll bet most soldiers in less that a few years have no clue who the bases they are stationed on are named after.
  20. You certainly do. Like unicorns vomiting rays of happiness Or that guy milking the giraffe and skittles coming out its junk..
  21. They still deliver food in those trucks?
  22. Nice. I want to get a classical guitar. Maybe that will be the next one. I'm hearing the intro in my head to that right now from Sketches of Spain. If its a Jose Ramirez classical guitar some of them ain't cheap.
  23. Here is my saga. I went to boot and SD. Then BEE in SD. I was going to be an ET. After BEE I went to Great Mistakes and started ET "A" School. Well I was 21 and partied too much and failed out of ET "A" school. I got reclassified to EM. EM "A school was a breeze for me and I still had all the electrical theory fresh in my head. Graduated EM "A" school and got stationed in Yokosuka, Japan on the USS Curts (FFG-38), a Perry Class Frigate. During my 2 years there, this clown in Iraq called Saddam stirred up some trouble, and I got to go over there and float around in the beautiful Persian Gulf. Then I got out and joined the Coast Guard. Should have done that from the get go. Retired an EMCS. Here comes another sad face. My dad was a Radioman when he was in The Navy. He was on the USS Intrepid and stationed over in Tripoli at a Comm Sta.
