  1. I've only owned one non USA made guitar, it was one of those Ovation acoustics from back from the mid-80s. Long gone The 12 is a 1991 J12-16GT. First year they made em. They were only in production 5 - 7 years. I heard that the first year of issue they had Ebony fretboards and then they went to my Mycarta. Which predated Richlite. The luthier I took it to for a set up said the fretboard is real wood.
  2. Her embroidery machine was about 8k and her sewing machine was about 5k. When she does the major quilting part she usually takes it to a quilt shop cause they have the big machines that can do it a lot easier. But she has all kinds of hoops and attachments. She knits to. Now if she would just get a job.
  3. What did someone stick a LP pickguard and neck on an acoustic body?
  4. Watch "Nigel Tufnel - Sustain!" on YouTube https://youtu.be/lrhJv4KplU4
  5. I have played a few HD-28V's and a HD-28 once I think. I don't like those necks on the V. I own 5 Martins and if your not used to the MLO (modified low oval), which the Re HD-28 may have, you get used to it. Not sure what neck the Re HD-28 has though. Yes they do not suck. High action can always be lowered. I set my D-18 up yesterday. I still need to lower the slots in the nut a touch.
  6. Love Gruhn's. I wasn't allowed upstairs.
  7. I have a few. They kick my a-ss.
  8. I think Paul recorded Blackbird with his D-28. Macca and John both had D-28's in India. I believe he used the Texan on Yesterday.
  9. Why does that never happen to me? Nice score.
  10. If you get them you will take care of them and keep track of them. I own 2 now. Just don't take them out of the house. Now the clear acrylic ones from V-Picks. Drop one on the floor and spend 10 mins looking for it. But those are only $5.
  11. You loaned my your BC Pick. Love them. And like I said people will think nothing about dropping 3k on a J-45 or more for whatever a banner model is, and about $30 for Thomastick Infeld Strings, but $35 for a really good pick oh my lord.
  12. My wife goes to the Mid- Alantic quilting show every year in Hampton, VA.
  13. I saw Dan year or 2 before Walter passed. They were amazing.
  14. It's French for fancy stuff that goes on quilts.
  15. Mine is in my man cave I use it when I'm cold.
  16. I dug my Explorer when I had one Enjoy your ramen.
  17. I'd buy the one that sounds better than the other one.
  18. I had one and I have no idea what pickups are in that. It was long before I cared what pickups were in a guitar. I just wanted to have a Gibson.
