  1. Without being a jerkwad, which I am, its worth what you can sell it for. The value doesn't go up cause an underwear sticker is on it, and a few artists sigs. You would have to sell it to someone who likes those artists. Its basically a barebones guitar. $700 - 900? One sig might be Travis Tritt the others I can't tell.
  2. What are we going to consider new. New on the scene or just a new release they put out. Molly has been doing it since 2006 and Billy since 2013. So 17 and 10 years, And as Merc alluded to they are playing is what I would consider Bluegrass. That's been around longer that dirt. Both can play circles around me with 4 broken fingers. It like when I tried to listen to Joe Satriani, yes you can technically and proficiently put 1000 notes into 14 seconds of music, but do you need to?
  3. Do you want a picture of the bed its under too?
  4. I lusted after an M-36 for a while but even beat to piss used ones cost your left kidney, and 3k.
  5. Axl records some of those lyrics on One In A Million today, and the Wokies cancel him with their culture.
  6. Unless it is a run of say 150 and your guitar is marked 35/150 you will never find out. Gibson doesn’t release that info unless it is a limited run and stated on the guitar or the website. Like the recent Noel Gallagher ES-355’s. It stated they made 100 I think. Guitars are meant to be played.
  7. I just sampled some Lana Del Ray. I can honestly say I was not that impressed. Sounds like something David Lynch might use in a TV show for atmospheric affect.
  8. Since I never listen to the radio anymore I don't hear anything new out there. I have to search or hear about it by word of mouth or read what others are listening to and sample it to see if I like it. Gretta Van Fleet are a newish band, but I would rather hear real Zeppelin than a band that is trying to sound like them. I've heard of maybe two of these bands. https://www.udiscovermusic.com/stories/bands-keeping-rock-alive/ https://www.rockandbluesmuse.com/2022/08/26/20-modern-rock-bands-you-need-to-know-about-2022/ https://www.outlookindia.com/business-spotlight/best-new-rock-bands-to-check-out-for-2023-news-247312
  9. As true as true can be. 99% of country out there is Bro country or Barbie's in boots. Most of their voices are a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Can they sing, yes. Do they all sound the same, Y E S. You know Joni's, Ella's, Dolly's, Reba's, Janis's, and Kate's voices when you hear them. Even if its a song you don't recognize or never heard.
  10. Its hard finding new stuff that's listenable to me. I'm kind of on a quest right now to find and listen to stuff I never heard of or didn't ever listen to. I just recently got stuff by a band called Affinity and Help Yourself. Both are English bands I just never heard of. I also got the first two Mink Deville albums. I got Soft Machine - Bundles the one with Allan Holdsworth, I never ever listened to them before. I also stated listening to Wishbone Ash. Seeing that Steve Ford started buying up every Leon Russell album on the planet I started to check him out, as I never listened to him. I knew he wrote A Song For You and Delta Lady and This Masquerade, but that was it. But newer stuff, I used to be into Jason Isbell and The Drive By Truckers, but they went all Wokie and I gave up on them. I've seen Father John Misty twice. His last few albums were really good especially Pure Comedy and God's Favorite Customer. All The Lumineers albums are really good. III and the last one Brightside I really like. But hey all you old guys got the new Rolling Stones album to look forward to that was causing a lot of controversy in the other thread. I need to get tix to see Government Mule. They will be 45 mins away in October.
  11. I have Siongs From The Big Chair on vinyl. It’s not to bad. I wonder how different that album would sound if it didn’t come out when synths were the flavor of the day. I think Steven Wilson did a 5.1 S S mix of the next album. I remember liking Woman In Chains, and the title track. Mad World and Pale Shelter were cool tunes of the first one.
  12. Not really. You like what you like and I’ll like what I like. You guys in Canada can have Neil back anytime you want. I didn’t want him to be a US citizen. I’d like to become a Canadian citizen, but they probably won’t let me huh?
  13. I saw him on the tour he was mad at Corporate Sponsorship. My cousin bought me a ticket or I never would have went. This Notes For You. Should have been named The Jokes On You. What trash. I have Zuma and can’t name a song off it. I have Everybody Knows, Rust Never Sleeps, Decade, Hawks And Doves, Harvest, and I bought Re Ac Tor out of a cut out bin. That’s awful too. His voice irritates me. 3 guys that can sing together so well and you add Neil to whine and croak. I don’t get it. 4 Way Street was not that good. Ain’t got no T-Bone. Got mashed potatoes.
  14. Yeah like The Dead you get Yes or you don’t. I remember the first time I heard that album. I was 12 and had no clue what I just heard. Didn’t know what to make of it. Now it’s probably my second favorite album of all time. I could listen to it every day. I became friends with a guy in college who asked me “why do you only listen to Prog and Rock?” He introduced me to stuff I never heard before. I’ve said this to my best friend “I listen to Yes so you don’t have to”. He appreciates that.
  15. That guys whole career has been a mystery to me. He will make one good record. Record 3 or 4 lousy ones and make another good one. Then make an album of sampling computer noise. I can't take anything he did after Tonight's The Night. That and Harvest is about all you need. Some of After The Gold Rush? CSN really didn't need him. The first one was damn near flawless. I think I read or saw in a doc he worked on his songs alone and just showed up when it was his turn. He was kind of forced on them by Ahmet Ertegun. I don't think Stills was to keen to work with him again, knowing what he would be getting into after the Buffalo Springfield days.
  16. I heard Paul McCartney plays bass on one song. That drummer, Jordan, its his first or last name, who plays with Keef is in the seat now.
  17. Back in the heroine chic days. Everyone looked like a strung out junkie, many probably were. That one guy from that really huge group was. The Grunge guys all wore flannel shirts and Doc's.
  18. Those bands did nothing for me and that was your scene over there in the UK. I don't think I've ever heard a Pulp song in my life. The other 3 I have. I thought Gorillaz was more interesting than Blur and the Wooo Hooo song.
  19. How do you find the good in formula-matic Bro-Country? Dog, truck, beer, girl in shorts, tractor, and write it again.
  20. You say Radiohead made some contributions of music. Well some jackwads thought they were worthy of being in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Shame.
  21. In the 90's it was all about Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Sound Garden, Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam as I recall.
  22. The critics just gush over those guy and I listened to them and tried to figure out what they are hearing I'm not. I just don't get them. Just like many don't get Zappa or The Grateful Dead.
  23. So this thread is the smack down thread? I did say all of Radiohead albums sucked. So I'm in the parameters of your intent.
