I was just reading an article about US property tax. Could someone confirm this for me. You pay about 2-3% of the value of your property each year in tax? What income tax do you pay? It seems a lot of money. Here in the UK we have Council tax. But it's in bands and the top rate is nothing compared to yours. No politics etc. Just a chat about how much we pay to live against you.

Has anyone used an airbrush to touch up a guitar? What paint would you use? The LP Special I got recently has a patch on the neck that has been worn away and been touched up badly. I'm a painter by trade so the use of it is easy for me. What Pant though?

A friend of mine has a new sports car. He had a tracker fitted and within a month it was stolen twice. Both times the police had got the car within 15 mins. If I had a guitar stolen at a gig and the police could get it back, what price could you put on that? Some of the security items have GPS tracking and alarms fitted if the guitar moves. So if your guitar was on stage and you were out having dinner etc, your phone would tell you it was gone. You'd have it back to do the gig with. That would be worth hundreds.

Do any of you use a GPS tracker on any of your guitars? I’ve been looking at them. The one I’ve posted a pic of is only small, so would even go in your guitar cavity. I might get one to try or do you already use one?

Why are most photos too large a file size to post on here? How do you make them smaller on Android, Apple And Windows?

I've come on here today to a new look. I don't know why the header is so big though. It takes up about a fifth of the page on my laptop. When you come onto the forum it should minimise of completely disappear. Are there any new features we should know? I've found that we can upload straight from our pc now and not use a host (imgur etc). My test below.

I've looked closely at these strap locks and they are ok. Where do you think major makers have their made? I personally have never used a strap lock as they just seem over engineered and have areas that are thin and don't seem safe. I've always used a washer. Over the past year I've been buying various locks to look at and these Dunlop seem the best as you can use any strap etc. With the metal type, if you have a strap fail during a gig and don't have another strap with those locks fitted you're stuffed.

They just pulled off and residue was water based. So all clean now.

Does anyone wonder why he's suddenly put them up for sale? Has he got serious health problems? Trying to avoid the death duties on them (when it comes)?

Picked up a Blackstar HT5R this week for £75! He must have needed the money. It came with the footswitch too. I've cleaned it and it's like new now. I've already got an HT5 but I'll sell that now.

I've seen these locks on eBay and watched them. Then I saw this post and bought them. I've seen people say they wouldn't trust them but I've thoroughly looked them over and there seems nothing wrong with them. The cost at £1.50 delivered from China to the UK is unbelievable. How do they do it? They must be Government subsidised.

I don't expect a full shine. You could most likely wet sand it with very fine paper to smooth it out before the polish.

I've been thinking of polishing my satin finish LP to a gloss top. Has anyone done it on one of theirs? Did it come out ok, I've watched videos of it on YouTube and it seems to come out like a VOS finish.

They were originally Epiphone guitars and then were re labelled as Gibson to help sales. On some, you can see the Epiphone decal under the Gibson one.

I've had a Hiscox case with a recent purchase and I can't believe how strong it is. I think you could drive over it. It's up there with my Chainsaw case for strength. What other makes are as strong?

Had anyone fitted a Vibrola arm to a Bigsby? I can't get a Chet Atkins arm at a decent price here in the UK.
