When Was Brian May Ever A Gibson Guy?
gearbasher replied to Sgt. Pepper's topic in The Gibson Lounge
Everything you wanted to know about the Red Special and probably a lot of stuff you'd rather not waste brain cells on. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Special -

Why are the controls on the front in German and the ones on the back are in English?

I've worked on old pocket watches and every time I see this thread I think of the Radium Girls. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radium_Girls

I just right click the image. Open it in another tab. Then copy the url and plug it into "insert image from url". Sounds harder than it is.

My 1999 J-45 Rosewood that I bought new in 2000. It played like butter and had great tone. Headstock developed a crack around 2020 and I sold it as is/in need of repair. I actually got what I paid for it. If I ever buy another guitar(unlikely), I would get another rosewood J-45. If you include non-Gibsons, I regret trading my 1980 Guild D-55 for a 1994 J-45. That Guild was the best sounding guitar I ever owed, but the long scale neck was tough on me. After I got rid of it, I was regretted it so much, I tried to find a replacement. I bought and sold 3 more D-55s, until the 4th one was a keeper.

I met a guy who's been married to the same woman for 49 years. I asked him what his secret was for having such a long marriage. He said: "The secret is going on trips. For our 25th anniversary we went to China. For our 50th anniversary, I'm going back to pick her up."

If you take a close look at the pictures of the two "different" Les Pauls in Pelham Blue, you would see that they are the same guitar down to the same serial #.

It took me a long time. But, I learned the 15 minutes of pleasure wasn't worth the 23 hours and 45 minutes of aggravation. To put this thread back on track, I'll have to add: driving at night to #2. I used to love getting in the car at 2:00-3:00 in the morning and drive around on empty roads. It was so relaxing. Now, my night vision is shot and I only drive at night if it's absolutely necessary.

I'll play. But, most of mine are sports related. 1) The things I enjoy and still do: Bicycling. My true passion. I still ride more miles per year than your average American drives. I'm just not as fast. Next is cooking. I'm a very good cook and I like to eat. 2) Things I enjoyed but can't do: Playing football, baseball, softball, handball, paddleball and fast-pitch stickball. Next, is sleeping through the night without getting up every two hours to pee. 3) Things I said good riddance to; Anything the woman I was dating at the time wanted to do. Part B to this is: Shopping for Birthday, Anniversary, Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc. presents for the same woman. Also, working for a living. Retirement is the best job I ever had. Edit: I need to add to #1: Flying kites. And, after reading Sparquelito's list, I have to add flying commercial airlines to #3. I never liked flying, but I had to for my job. I haven't been on a plane in 10 years.

I once found a hand truck in the road. Too bad I was on a bicycle and about 15 miles from home. I just moved it to the side of the road, so no one would hit it.
