    4H

Going good today thanks 4H and my tummy feels better than it has for months. Still have some sensitivity where they cut me yesterday but that will go in a few days.

I did the whole trip yesterday, 3 1/2 hours each way plus had the operation and was pretty buggered when I got home about 9.30 pm .

Quite tired today also but then its pouring rain so I decided I'd cut myself a bit of slack anyway.

Its all good and real progress thanks mate.

  2. Yesterday was poached eggs on toast with a few baked beans, Lunch was down by the water it was such a gorgeous Sunday

I had a piece of fish and a few chips, Gael had a small gourmet pizza which of course I sampled, and it was nice.

Didn't feel that hungry last night so I fried a ham & cheese sandwich in a bit of butter and topped with the rest of the baked beans.....bloody nice it was!

  3. Well my appetite finally seems to be returning!

For the last 4 months I've been struggling to eat and have lost 20 kilos of weight. I'm too light and none of my clothes fit me, they drop off!

So I'm now hungry all the time and am going to try and claw some weight back. (not too much though, perhaps 4 or 5 kilos)

We went out for tea last night and I had Combination Mee Goring and then went and cleaned up some potato from the veggie bar. I even had a bit of chocolate which is the first "naughty" thing I've had for months. I see more of that in my immediate future!!

Mrs Dig is busily making egg & bacon rolls for brekky, God love her.

  4. On a health kick for the next month or so....

Breakfast today Bran Flakes with Soya Milk

Lunch will be chili/curry flavoured pulse soup/stew with wholemeal bread

Supper...Vegemite spread wholemeal bread with sauerkraut, lettuce...

Interspersed with oat flapjack, nectarines, banana, plums...maybe a Royal Gala apple

Also trying out some weirdo milks....Hemp, Oat, Rice

It's a sort-of semi Vegan thing I'm following to see if it has any feelgood benefits...

    V

    :-({|=

Careful 'V" they'll be mistaking you for an Aussie mate~

  5. Well you're recovering very fast - don't overdo it.....

Egg bread anyone? Whisk an egg, quarter a thick slice of bread, soak pieces in the egg then fry until golden....

    Delicious!

Later this evening - plaice with green beans and carrots. Beer.

    Thanks JDGM, I'm doing well.

I have lots of things that need doing and holding myself back is going to be a major issue I think.

Also I'm bored with being stuck inside for days....sigh~

Plaice & veggies sounds very nice.

  6. Karen's 49th birthday today,so I made her Chinese for lunch, and pork ribs on the grill for supper tonight. Since it's Father's Day a double celebration in store,so maybe a fire later and s'mores to eat and sending them running for the house when I breakout the guitar for campfire songs.

Happy birthday to Karen, hope she had a good day!

You're lucky you didn't find me sniffing around your place at lunchtime Mr G, 'cause I luuuuuuve Chinese!

  7. This morning, first home from hospital, I had a farm fresh egg for breakfast on toast. Yummy!

We had to be in town to pick up the new car by 2 pm so as we were going to be close by we grabbed lunch at the RSL. They have Chinese meals fot $12.50 and I chose curried seafood, veggies & rice. Gaels choice wasn't so great so she shared my meal and bugger me if we didn't win a meat tray worth around $40 in the lunchtime raffle.

Not very hungry tonight so a TV dinner, Butter Chicken & Rice will fill the bill.
