  1. Epiphone is producing some amazing guitars right now.
  2. I had an LP Special II with the Gibson truss rod cover. Nice, entry level LP. It does say "Gibson" on it...must be 1996-1997 or so, from the Boston Guitar Center. Notice no "Special" or "Les Paul" script on the headstock, very plain.
  3. but no ten foot cord. Get in touch with the place you got it from, tell them you need a cord. What good is an electric guitar if there is no cord to attach it to your amp It is supposed to be supplied with all Epiphone electric guitars, that is part of the entire "package" you are supposed to get. Tell them that. Send them an email with a link to this thread. There seems to be a lot of inconsistancy with "what comes with a new Epiphone electric guitar". I do hope Epiphone will improve the quality of the entire "package", not just the instrument itself.
  4. I believe all 50th anniversary, 1962 Limited Edition reissues (like the Sorrento I recently acquired) come with a "period correct" case (the one I got is quite nice)
  5. get in touch with where ever you got the guitar from and tell them exactly that. See what they say.
  6. I have ordered several Epiphone Electric guitars from Musicians Friend. They did not include the cord. I contacted their customer service (MF) about this dilemma, and, each time, they sent me a cord, free of charge [thumbup] Also, on one guitar, I did in fact get the cord. But, when I plugged it in, it didn't work (short circuit/non attached wires). I sent an email to MF explaining this, they also sent a new cord out, cool. So, about half the time, I got no cord, and the other 1/4 of the time, I got a dead cord lol So, they "made it right". Thanks MF
  7. Also, the blue guitar is an ES 355

  8. Also, I have a P93 like yours. That is a super blues machine too. I might get a gold one soon, if they are still available.

  9. I like playing a well made guitar. The Indonesian made LP Jr's I've played have been great guitars.
  10. waiting until January for a blue ES-355

      wow,

I actually got one a couple days ago.

  11. Regrets ? Ya, I regret that I don't own more of them.
  12. A new Epiphone LP Special II is being sold at Musicians Friend for $129.99 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/epiphone-ltd-ed-special-ii-metallic-electric-guitar
  13. I've gone to Guitar Center and seen "lots" of Epiphone guitars on display. I think (sometimes) if Epiphone manufactures a large quantity of guitars for a retail place (like Guitar Center), sometimes they don't silk screen the modlel name (Les Paul, Junior, Special)on the headstock, it is just "blank". Like this LP Special II, which is not silk screened with "special" on the head stock.
  14. Hi Elias. I love that guitar, cool color, nice tune. Now, get back over to HCEG
  15. Now I'm waiting for the Regal RC-2 resonator to arrive

traded away for a black P93 Riviera :)

  17. I had the high "E" string break 2 times (in a relatively short amount of playing time). I polished the saddle area and changed the string to an "Ernie Ball". It hasn't broken yet (about an hour playing time). I was wondering who Epiphone used as their string supplier. Another post mentioned that D'Addario acknowledged that they have had a problem with strings breaking. Does Epiphone use D'Addario strings on their guitars ?
  18. is that a "quasi swear word" on the tag attached to the handle ?
