I thought about posting a smart  come back, lime,  "Mason  might not be Mason after his voice changes "  but I decided to do like Molly, and take the high road...

She has had to overcome many obstacles to be Molly,  let's just enjoy that.

This is kinda topical for me. One of my neighbors and good friend is showing the signs of alopecia.  He is getting bald spots and when the hair grows back it is white. He keeps blaming the barber and is in denial because I know he's embarrassed.

  2. I doubt our European members are watching. Who here in the US cares?

I've been watching the whole Series  just because I love the game of baseball. As I type, it's final game 7 and The Astros are up 2-0  over The Nationals. I'm kinda pulling for Houston just because they're American League and I have trouble liking  anything that comes from Washington DC. ( Except The Smithsonian 😎). I do like a lot of players on The Nats team though, so I won't be mad if they win.  Good game so far.

10 years back we played Too Rolling Stoned by Trower. we play it in C. something was off. 1/2 thru the tune I realized the keyboardist was in a different key. walked over during my solo and asked him "what key are you in ?" he said "B". told him we play it in C, Tim ... and this is after 2 years of him playing it in C along with us.  we all screw up from time to time,  but ...

Yeah, it happens. I've been fortunate to have played with some really solid bass players, who are almost always perfect. But there have been a few times when even they have played something out of key, and that really throws me for a loop. I hear something off and just assume it must be me cause they never mess up. [biggrin]

  4. How about some good ole surf music. Walk Don't Run has some nice subtle whammy stuff going on.

There's a more modern trio  called  Khruangbin and the guitar player does some nice whammy bar stuff. Nothing over-the-top.

  5. Dead Flowers by The Rolling Stones is always a good one.  D, A, G, chords in varying orders. If someone plays lead there's room for all kinds of cool fills in between the verses.

Another one that's very popular these days is Wagon Wheel. We used to play that song over 10 years ago when it was an obscure Old Crow Medicine Show song. Then Darius Rucker recorded a version and now it's become required playing for everyone. Just like Brown Eyed Girl and Margaritville.

When I log onto the forum I am now afraid to open any thread that is headed by someone's name. Rather be like an ostrich and delay it.

Yeah. Sometimes seems like every other thread is either a Happy Birthday or RIP thread.

  7. Cream was a little before my time, but I was into them as a teen. I saw Ginger and Jack Bruce sometime around 1989 or 1990 at Hammerjacks in Baltimore. They had some young, hot-shot guitar player with them and his shredding style didn't go well with their stuff IMO. Oh well, at least I can say I say Ginger Baker play live.

    RIP Mr. Baker
