  1. Hey man, you posted great info. They are pretty "opinionated" around here. Even me on the Richlite, with all the pros AND cons, i'm pretty stubborn about it, lol I really enjoyed your take on the GForce tuners. Ignore the BS and stick around or at least stop in when you have free time.
  2. Wow, same here. SG Standards were closing out at GC for $1039.97. I received a gorgeous 2018 SG Standard Heritage Cherry with a late summer date of July-August of 2017 inspection card, and a serial of 180007XXX. Was delivered 2/28/2019.
  3. As far as the battery goes, it just pops in and out the back of the tuner with a "push/click" like a memory card does. After you pop the card out, it just plugs in the included charge cable. Pretty simple really. Batteries and Chargers (if needed) are readily available.
  4. Welcome aboard! :) Very interesting, Nice write up and pics, thanks! I don't mind the G-Force system, And unlike the Richlite fretboards, at least it's easily replaceable for the folks that don't like or want to use it. ;)
  5. Give it to me! ;) Like others have posted, it will fade away soon enough. You can try wiping it down with Gibson polish, and let the case air out for a couple days. Personally, I try to keep that smell as long as I can, lol :D
  6. I have all the others, but not that one. :( If Gibson would put out their new SG HP's with a Rosewood fretboard instead of Richlite, I would have one tomorrow!
  7. Not a deal breaker, but I would like and prefer them over acrylic/plastic inlays any day :D
  8. WOW, I'm sold... I realize they all fade, but that's too quick! And while I can appreciate a white or a cherry burst fading into something antique like, that blue just looks horrible to me. No offense to anyone or there guitars, just not my cup of tea. Dang, I was seriously thinking about that Blueberry too...
  9. Yikes!! Hope the Blueberry Burst doesn't do that over time.
  10. All 2015 SGs have MOP inlays, even the dots on the Special are MOP. Also the 2017 / 2018 Gary Clark Jr.'s use MOP for the inlays Not sure if all the SG HPs use MOP, but the first year 2016's do.
  11. Dinner: Grilled Halibut, Baked Potato and Asparagus.
  12. The 2018 Tribute and 2019 StudioTribute... two different creatures. 2018 is solid body (no weight relief) and the trapezoid fret markers as stated earlier... 2019 Studio Tribute has the ultra-modern weight relief body and dot fret markers.
  13. Oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookies, Mushroom Sausage Pizza.... and then more Cookies, lol.. afterwards finish with a glass, or two, of Merlot. :D
  14. Yep, and besides the cleans, you can pull a lot of crunch out of those P90s ;)
  15. I am terribly sorry about the "red mark"! That was me *lowers head in shame*... I was clicking the green positive and accidentally hit the red. I tried everything I could to reverse it, but to no avail. If someone knows how to reverse it I gladly will. I have that same model LP and was just trying to show my support it. BTW, I have NEVER marked a -negative on anyone, I'm the kind of person that will come out and tell you I don't like it, lol Again, my sincerest apologies!
  16. Yes, they're great guitars, and they sound great! A Big bang for the buck! ;)
