  1. Congratulations! The Sg Standard '61's are NICE! πŸ™‚ Trying hard to resist....
  2. Rare, but I've seen them stamped similar before.
  3. I'd go for the SG Special. If the LP double cut came with a gloss finish, I might consider that one.
  4. Was curious about that also. I asked about that last year with the 2018's, but never did hear anything one way or the other.
  5. Congratulations, and Happy NGD to ya man! πŸ™‚ Any pics of your new Epi ?? πŸ˜‰ I'm not big on the Pau Ferro fretboards. Not saying it isn't good at what it's used for, just don't care for various light colors and streaks that it comes in. I prefer dark solid colors like rosewood and Ebony (unless we're talking maple πŸ˜‰) for my fretboard. I was disappointed when Fender went that route on their MIM line, and am also disappointed that Epi has followed suite. I much prefer look and feel of my older Casino with rosewood board. Here's a pic, and yes, the board is oiled. πŸ˜‰
  6. Nothing wrong with the SG. Just be sure to have it properly setup. Give it a shot, you might just like it! πŸ˜‰ Why yes they do! πŸ˜‰ ...and if nothing else: πŸ˜„
  7. Congrats, that's an awesome strat! Happy NGD to you! πŸ™‚ If you find a good one, the Player series can right up there with MIAs IMHO. I love my Buttercream Player.
  8. Howdy, welcome to the board! 🎢😎
  9. Welcome! Nice Gibby! 😎
  10. I like the white also. That one sure looks good with switch washer and top hats with the silver inserts. My 2017 Standards came without the washer and the black top hats. Not a fan of those πŸ˜•. I usually keep my SGs stock in the looks dept, but I did upgrade to the washer and silver inser pt knobs the cherry SG. I think it's time I do the same to the 2017 Alpine White. πŸ˜‰ it just don't look right without them.

Congratulations, that sure is nice! πŸ˜ƒ Happy NGD to ya! 😎
  12. Speaking of weight, I have two Casinos. One is an older Peerless model made in Korea and the other is the newer 2018 that is made at the Epiphone factory in China. The older one is fairly light and better balanced when compared to the new one (I think it sounds better as well). I am actually surprised on the weight difference between the two, as it is quite substantial. I don't know why that is, I can't believe it's just that the new one has a ton more polly coat on it... LOL
  13. The LP Tributes fit your price range, and has the sound and feel of a decent LP
  14. Well.... we got to know man, what'd you get? 🎸🎢🎢
  15. "Bring back my old forum" πŸ˜‰

  17. Congrats, Happy NGD! πŸ™‚ Glad to hear the Coupes sound good. I know the regular Casinos are awesome 😎
  18. It's definitely different!
