Riffster
Fighting fire with fire? I always thought Fender would eventually fail with so many aftermarket parts and necks and bodies available in the market. Looks like if you can't beat them, join them. http://www.fender.com/necks-bodies
Kennis
Another unfortunate incident of selling your body when money is tight...
pippy
Have you seen the prices?! $500 for a USA Tele or Strat neck! P.
surfpup
I saw that too. If course they've been letting other companies sell their stuff licensed for years. These seemed a little pricey to me.
Riffster
There are so many non-licensed offerings though. Yea their stuff is pricey, they'll make the profit of an entire guitar on just the neck if they sell direct. Did you seethe price on bass necks? surfpup
Did you seethe price on bass necks? $499 USA - $199 import Same prices for the guitar necks
Riffster
Oh, I did not pay enough attention that it was an import for $200.
Kennis
Sure, there are tons of great Fender compatible necks available, but I were to break the neck of my American Deluxe Strat, Only a genuine Fender neck would be good enough, so I'm sure there's a good market for this. surfpup
Oh, I did not pay enough attention that it was an import for $200. Right. They're sneaky like that. I wonder if they will pull some of their licenses (like Mighty Mite wich can be had for $100).
EVOL!
This is F-A-I-L. There are no Jazzmaster or Jaguar or even Thinline Tele bodies. I'd want a Strat body as much as I'd want a guitar that electrocutes me every time I play it.
Jeff-7
^ and no JM necks. No options for unfinished (which I would want, tired of guitars not being offered in a color I desire so I'd finish my own). Also no routing/unrouted options. I'd like to build a tele like the early 90's tele plus but I'm not paying the prices they go for on ebay. surfpup
The Mexican one ran well over $200 And for that you can buy a Warmoth neck that is made in the USA.
surfpup
Ever feel like some lil sissies are just following you around giving you minus points for everything you say? Actually, no, I have never felt that way.
cjsinla
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like they aren't selling any with nitro on them.
