BluesKing777
I came across this video looking for something else...of course. I posted it on his channel, and I thought a few here would be very interested. Stefan Grossman a couple of years back.. BluesKing777.

jt
Ah, Dave laibman's incredible arrangement of "Dallas Rag" by the Dallas String Band. A very cool arrangement and very well played by Mr. Grossman. But, the 1927 original is even cooler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Vha0nvk8uU
E-minor7
He should give lessons. He's great! He did - I remember him noting tunings and hints on the back of the LP-covers in the 70's. First and maybe only time I saw that. Nice to see him play with the naked thumb btw. I went out for a glass in the kitchen yesterday and came back with a broken bass-nail - WHAT !? j45nick
Stefan is not just a great guitarist: he's a great teacher. He's got the busiest left-hand pinky finger in the game.
j45nick
I went out for a glass in the kitchen yesterday and came back with a broken bass-nail - WHAT !? I do that about once every three weeks. You just stare at it in disbelief. Amazingly, it always (so far) grows back.

RichG
Is he playing an original AJ or was there a re-issue at the time that was recorded? Oh, and thanks for posting that. I have to burn my guitars now. Bowling is looking better every day. There's an Internet forum for that, right? Rich

zombywoof
The best acoustic (well semi-acoustic) LP of 1969. I had heard Grossman with the Even Dozen Jug Band and Kalb with Dave Van Ronk's Ragtime Jug Stompers, Phil Ochs, Judy Collins, and of course, the Blues Project. I still love this record but admit in those days I saw Kalb as the "master." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHsGXRPDQYo

In the photo with me, Stefan is playing his circa 1936 Larson Brothers Euphonon, which I got to borrow and take home for a bit before sending it on to Tony Klassen to copy.
