harmonicchaos
hey i wanted to ask if you guys could think of some kinda challenging classic guitar licks (like black dog but some harder ones and easier ones would be fine too) i just want to find some techniques etc. that will challenge me and improve my technique they don't have to classic rock either. TheLiveSoundGuy
Challenging is kind of a broad term, and a little different for everyone. Not sure if you would consider it challenging or not, but do a You Tube search for a guy from Italy that goes by the nick of SoloDallas. He's got some decent lessons on there. Classic rock kind of stuff. Some of his work is even featured on Gibson's micro website's.
LT ED
Any Status Quo should keep you busy for a few seconds. No disrespect to the mighty Quo but I couldn,t resist .lol lol.

led floyd9
A bit of Yngwie may inspire you. It's crazy. But if you're looking for something that's not near impossible, look into some Guns 'n Roses. It may not look hard, but it's pretty tricky.... saturn
It was recorded on a Strat, but Lazy by Deep Purple is a great riff. Very bluesy and has a real swing to it. It will also give you a chance to work on bends and alternating between strings rather than just going up and down a scale in ascending/descending order. [/quote'] i agree, anything from puprle is a great practice...also,try playing by ear,it is the best way to learn fast and train your ear....also,acdc for the basic rock riff....something like riff raff...noth very tricky but very effective.i wouldn´t bother with shredders ( no offense) IMHO....because it will take some time before you get to there....classic rock are the basics...you can move on frome there
