LarryUK
How do you 'Treat' shrinkage cracks? Use a humidifier? Fill them? Super glue?
kidblast
Hi Larry, are you asking about "fret sprout" where the fret ends push thru either the binding, or just extend out from the fretboard edge? I would try in case hydration to target at around 50% rh and leave it in the case for maybe a week or 2, only open long enough to recharge the humidifiers. Edit: the picture now visible helps. But I'm not able help... as I'm not sure what you can do with those.....
Twang Gang
Humidifying might have prevented the problem, but I don't think it will fix it. The cracks are there and won't go away. They could be filled in using binding shavings dissolved in acetone. Might need to file down the fret ends as well. Consult StewMac website - unless you are highly skilled at this type of repair it looks like a job for a luthier.
Rabs
DAMN... Yes as long as the frets aren't actually sticking out it wont be too bad a job... And yes.. Acetone and scraping will be required.
Riffster
Acetone melts binding but it also melts the nitro finish of course. If you do not feel it while playing I would leave it alone.
