thegreatgumbino
Great stuff! There’s a band here in Houston called The Fab Five. They do a similar act, but they switch between The Beatles and The Stones. Full on costumes and kit as well. Fun times.
fretplay
Nostalgia is an amazing thing, here we are listening to tribute bands from 50 years ago. Imagine if in 1970 we were listening to tribute bands of the 20s.

A fair number of people were, especially jazz and slightly later big-band stuff. Nostalgia has always been with us. Usually seems connected to the music of our youth. Sgt. Pepper
Tribute bands are constantly at the 2 larger (1200 -1500 people) venues in Norfolk and Richmond. They are what they are. I would rather not see fake Zeppelin or fake Tom Petty ect. I'm not even really a fan of established bands doing cover tunes unless you are a bar band. If your 5 albums into a career and you have to put 3 cover tunes on an album like Van Halen did on Diver Down your either lazy or partied too much and don't have enough material for an album.
