Whitefang If you are serious about reading the Bible, you need "Peake's Commentary On The Bible" edited by Matthew Black and H.H. Rowley (I think). Big hardback book written by many different expert theologists and churchmen. Not a book you read from 1st page to last, but one you refer to for insights, historical context and explanation.
