It had a deli counter and sold all the typicl lunchmeat products as well as other items like lekvar, pickled herring and occasionally my Grandmother(the Aunt's sister in law) would make huge amounts of pierogi to sell inthe store as well. All this just to say I grew up with Kowalski brand natural casing hot dogs. Not that easy to find 'round where I live(the supermarkets near me only offer Kowalki lunchmeats in their delis and that brand of kielbasa) And since too, my Mom would sometimes help out at the store, we'd have plenty of Kowalski garlic bologna on hand. Plant based hot dogs? Never tried 'em, but I do eat those Morning star plant based burger patties, which aren't really all that bad, so I'll see if they have a plant based dog and give 'em a try.
