Those tigs are a lot older than me... take good care of em...

 

maybe give em to your kids or grandkids or whatever...

 

got my grandfathers old starter guitar (made in usa funnily enough for a starter) and it's got a sh*t load of sentimental value

No one was selling imported guitars at the time... Harmony, Kay, Kalamazoo, Silvertone... the list goes on with domestic low-end instrument manufacturers.

I started on my dad's 1970's Yamaha classical. It doesn't really sound too hot, but I appreciate the age and nostalgic feelings that it brings to me. I remember wanting to play an electric guitar so badly, and all I had was some crummy classical. I eventually got a nice blue MIM Strat.

D00D. You got ripped off man. Those are $150 NEW. My 1st guitar also. :-k:-$

 

My first was a Les Paul.

A 1957 junior that I traded repairs for.

Destroyed by my (ex) wife.O:)
