Jantha
.. who likes Godsmack around here! I love Tony Rombola's sound. I also find it cool that he recorded their first album with a borrowed LP Studio. I don't care if they're Nu Metal... I dig 'em. Shnate McDuanus
If I remember correctly, Jesse liked their cover of "Good Times, Bad Times." I'll admit, Godsmack isn't a terrible band. Not as obnoxious as Soulfly or Static-X or Limp Bizkit. We don't have to go into Limp Bizkit, do we?
Jantha
No.. We don't need to discuss Limp Bizkit here.

Laaz
Great band. Shannon used to be in Wrathchild out of W.V. Many a drunk parting nights with them.

Shnate McDuanus
Godsmack isnt Nu-metal.Soulfly...is crap even though their lead singer is legendary. Yep. Soulfly is crap' date=' but Max Cavalera (originally from Sepultura, for those who don't know) is definitely a legend. Now [i']Sepultura? That was a good band. One of Thrash/Groove Metal's finest constituents.
Jantha
Godsmack isnt Nu-metal. They aren't? Wikipedia says they are... but they could be wrong. I dunno' date=' I'd never heard the term before... I had to look it up.
Laaz
I don't think they put out a bad album. I don't get all these new "Titles" New metal, Pirate Metal, Doom metal... Just call it metal and be done with it.

MojoRedFoot
Pirate Metal: Metal about pirates. These guys are silly. I've seen 'em 2x and I have both their albums. Curious who people like more. Alestorm or Swashbuckle. No point in doing a poll because I'm sure only 3 or 4 people really know either band. ChanMan
Godsmack reminds me of Alice In Chains... ...which translates into they ROCK.
Tim Plains
I listen to Godsmack all the time. Great band, dumb name. Didn't like their newest album, though.

Riffster
I have their 3 first albums and the unplugged album. Their sound/production did not change much from the 2nd to the 3rd albums, I think they should have changed it since they have too many sings on the same key or something. I saw them with Metallica a few years ago and they put on a good show, especially Sully.

nikko18
I don't own any of their stuff but I do like them when I hear their songs on the radio. Definitely Alice in Chains influenced, and I love Alice in Chains! They are even named after and AIC song!
