I'd call it 80's Metal - about the time "rock" music started to splinter apart and leave me behind. Classic Rock was once defined as primarily seventies rock from they heyday. That's what the "classic rock" radio stations focused on, with some good sixties stuff thrown in. Eventually, the eighties rock started creeping in, notably AC/DC's Back In Black.
