"There's a bathroom on the right..." instead of "There's a bad moon on the rise..." or

"Pass me the vascaline..." instead of "Life in the fast lane..."

What are some mistakes you, or someone you know, have made in the way you've heard or remembered lyrics?

There's gonna be a party tonight (heartache).

L.A. International Air Force (airport).

Both of those were uttered by others. But my favorite mistake, which is my own mistake, was one of my most hated songs ever. Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann:

Blinded by the light,

Wrapped up like a ****** I rolled her over in the night.

Billy Currington's Lucille.

What he said,

You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille

With four hungry children and a crop in the field.

I've had some bad times,

What I heard,

You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille

With four hundred children and a crop in the field.

I've had some bad times, [biggrin]

If it wasn't such a sad song, it would have been funny.

I gotta question...

On "You're No Good" it sounds like Linda Ronstadt is singing' date=' "I gotta f__k you baby every minute of the day..." but I know she isn't. What does she sing there?[/quote']

I think she was going out with Governor Moonbeam at the time... so maybe she was talking about the people of California getting screwed by him!!
