Hats off to Buc! This has been' date=' IMHO, one of the best threads in a very long time. As we all have a common interest in Gibson guitars, it's so cool to see the different walks of life that we all trod every day. Some of the surprising ones that stood out for me are:

1. sjl200- pilot (that's just waaaaaay cool!)

2. farmer roy- farmer (hard work! you guys are the salt of the earth)

3. Mr Gibs - physician ( a service to helping others!)

So many interesting folks. Here's to all of ya!!!![/quote']

Yes, I agree. And a huge round of applause from me to Oldguy, the retired firefighter. Dangerous and admirable job!

Cool thread - I'm a project manager for data exchanges for a software tech company. In layman's terms, I'm responsible for making sure one database and another speak the same language (or translation), get along with each other, and are on constant speaking terms. Haha... it pays the bills and affords me some sweet Gibbys!

"The hardest job I have is stepdad to twin 16 year old girls."

You said it, Brother.[confused] But well worth it.

My daughters used to hate bringing the boys home to be interrogated by dad, and would avoid telling them I was a police sergeant. Now the two that are adults laugh about it. I think they appreciated the whole protectiveness routine.

Parenting is the hardest and most rewarding of all jobs.
