Mornin' mates! or afternoon where ever u are..

daily japanese web browsing leads to..

have never seen this before! but it is rather GAS inducing - only if it were in walnut..

just a heads up!

It's a Les Paul Signature. I had one (Peerless 1998):

They were modeled after the 1970s Gibson model with the same name, and had low impedance pickups. The previous owner had removed the low impedance pickups and replaced them with custom made Lollar P-90s. I believed they came in Gold and tobacco sunburst.

Peerless still sells their version under their name. I think they make the JC bass, too.

Can't read anything but English, so don't know whether the one pictured on that website was new, or an older one. I'd surely like to take a look at a new one. That would be VERY tempting.

Why'd you sell yours?

I think they are kind of cool looking. ..Was it a true archtop or flat?

I always wanted a hollowbody LP.

The Gibson version' date=' which was made from 1973-1978, was semi hollow archtop, like the ES 335. The construction of the Jack Casady bass differs in that the top does not touch the center block.

The big deal with the Les Paul Signature was that it had two sets of outputs, one each for the high and low impedance pick ups. "One for you, and one for the [recording'] engineer" the Gibson ads used to say. "Not intended for the beginner or occasional player."

I never knew there was an Epi version, but I wondered when I saw the Peerless branded one. I'd love to see an Epi.

I think they are kind of cool looking. Jerry was the headstock as big as it looks? And was it a true archtop or flat?

I always wanted a hollowbody LP.

Yeah' date=' It's an archtop and it had a extremely long headstock. I found this picture of the back of the headstock:

I am not 100% sure, but I think the guitar was pictured in the 1998 catalog, the one with the blond on the cover and turquise Casino.

Would have to dig out my old catalogs to double check. I remember seeing one at the GC in Canton MI when I was living there. I never played it or checked it out. Only time I ever saw one and it was one of the gold ones.
