jannusguy2
My two favorite 12 fret acoustics. Just a joy to play. 2010 Gibson Custom Shop SJ and a 1963 Martin 0-16NY. They are sonically delicious!
RASHARU
There's absolutely NOTHING better than a sweet sounding "small body" acoustic. This is my HD Scott 00. Stained (aged) Sitka top with Mahogany B&S. 12-fretter, of couse, with a beautifully hand-designed slothead. I requested it built in the spirit of the great Martin 00-21. I can't imagine any style guitar being a better "all around joy" to play than a 12-fret model. I take it everywhere with me! (that custom shop Gibby SJ is SWEEEEET!) CAMELEYE
Just when I was about over that 12 fret SJ, here it is again. Arggh! And a nice 0-16NY to boot(fortunately I do have one of these.) Rob, you're a role model for us all. Ce
BigKahune
Beauties. That much 12 fret happiness is approaching the legal limit for one guy. B)
tvguit
Just when I was about over that 12 fret SJ, here it is again. There is another one at Bailey Brothers (I have no affiliation with them) in Birmingham, Al. I played it last weekend when my buddy was buying his AJ and it was incredible. I think it had a bit bigger burst than that one did.

fretplay
Really nice guitars guys. It took me a long time to find a parlour 12 fret I liked because for some reason they all have wide necks. I now have one to fit my needs a Tanglewood TW73 slim profile and narrow neck, Great!

jt
That 12-fret SJ is a stunner! Very, very cool. Except for when I need access above that 12th fret, I prefer 12 fret guitars. I've recently been on the road with Jackson Browne (for a series of interviews for Fretboard Journal) and have loved playing his vintage and reissue/signature prototype 12-fret Smecks. Thanks for sharing.
onewilyfool
Well....I've been a 12 fret afficianado for years.....Something about having that bridge right in the sweet spot of the top.....nice....Gibson L-20, 100 year old Washburn with Braz. B&S, 120 year old Bruno with with Braz. B&S. You know happiness, can be broken down into two words, Hap, and Piness.......I think there is a message there....somewhere..... jannusguy2
You all have shared some beautious 12 fret guitar porn along the way of this thread. Thanks for chiming in. Here's one more, from me, that wasn't in the initial pic but was my first 12 fret. It's currently my only Rosewood B/S guitar. Adi top. Roy Smeck prototype for Jackson Browne. 5 made, then project dropped. Great guitar. You should hear this thing. Jorma playing it in '08. Thanks for participating, everyone! zombywoof
Lordy j-guy, that Smeck prototype is something to behold. I have loved me some 12 fretters - I surely have. I recently sold off a bunch 'o guitars so at the moment I am down to one. But it is a doozy. 1931/32 National Duolian

CAMELEYE
Much thanks also to Keith at Bailey Brothers in Alabama for a sweet deal on this exceptional custom Gibson. BB has a great selection of Gibsons and the folks at BB are definitely knowledgeable and willing to work with you. Much obliged! Ce
