Same here.

I'm by far more suited to one of these:

Must be instruments used by the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain before they became you tube famous! [scared]

$8K is a pretty penny for a guitarist, but

not so much for a real musician. [flapper]

Hhmmmnnn .....

Spoken like a bass player ! ! !

BTW, I expect $8K is reeeeellly low.

Solidly into 5-figger money would be

my estimate, considering a friend's

jazz box which ran about $20K. And

he's a career player, around 40 yrs

old, not some stock broker treating

himself to a pricey trinket.

IMHO, that price is slightly overrated ](*,)

+1.

Cuz that would be about $25K street .... and for a Gibson ?

Even if it's from their Ultra-Custom Shop in the Andromeda

Galaxy, you don't spend on a Gibby [or other mass name]

the same dollars that would buy you a real D'Aquisto, or a

similar box, from builders who actually build for the player,

rather than the 'customer' or 'owner'.

Whilst the subject is active. I've been away from playing for a long time and I've not heard of many of the current makes.

Which 'Jazz' guitars do you recommend? I like the style shown in this thread. My budget is around £400. second hand.
