suburude63
This guitar was bought new at Griffin's Jewelers (back when jewelry stores were also music stores). That was in Spray, NC . It was played for a few of years. Then it was put in a closet for 30 or so years . A grandson got it played it not much then sold it to the guy I bought it from. It has no cracks neck is straight. The sound is magical !

Red 333
Thanks for the pictures. Not surprising she's such a jewel, considering her origins. Red

They were selling them for $1 if you mention the word "Gibson" at purchase. You should get one...um, oops...promotion ended yesterday

PickitPaul
That is really nice....how did you go about finding it? (story please) How is the tone / feel compared to your Kopp (i recall you had this and a Walker, correct me if i'm not right) How is the neck, larger or skinner V? (story please) How is the tone / feel compared to your Kopp (i recall you had this and a Walker, correct me if i'm not right) How is the neck, larger or skinner V? The tone is definitly vintage ! Very very open . Lots of mids. Not loud but full. The neck and nut are smaller than the Kopp. 1 11/16s very comfy ! I have actually sold the kopp to finance this 57 SJ. My theory is why have a copy of a vintage Gibson if you can have a vintage Gibson.
