surfpup
Rory. I enjoy Gary's playing, but Rory blows me away, especially the stuff with his first band Taste.

Silenced Fred
Paul Gilbert FTW That guy is ridiculously good. The trumpet player in my friend's jazz band looks just like him
djroge1
Really what makes the biggest difference between the two is that Rory uses a coiled cable. Everyone knows that a coiled cable just dog-gone sounds better.
pippy
Rory Gallagher. No contest. Gary is a good player but Rory is one of the greatest bluesmen ever to have lived. IMHO, of course. P.

Duende
I prefer Rory because i find his playing more raw and dirty. I know Gary is a master of his craft, but i find his blues playing too slick and 'syrupy'. Having said that, I did love his album 'Blues for Greeny' but prefer him as a rock/metal player.
